In order to become a US Senate Page, one must first be nominated by a Senator, generally from his or her State. Senators are granted a chance to nominate a Page based on seniority. Generally, senators who have served the longest are guaranteed Pages, but there are occasions in which less senior senators nominate Pages. A prospective candidate must be a 16 or 17 year-old high school junior (11th grade) with at least a 3.0 GPA.

We won't mention the fact that the age of consent in D.C. is 16...will we?
No law was broken, just partisan politics churning the waters.
Foley, a six-term congressman, was co-chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus
Sexual harassment isn't a law any more?

But he didn't.
First he blamed it on alcoholism, then he blamed it on previous sexual abuse he suffered, THEN he claimed there was no excuse.

I doubt I would, because maturity ranks high on the attraction scale for me and chances of finding a 16 year old girl mature enough for me is quite low, but you get the point.
Personally, I see nothing wrong with it though. When does age really start being an issue? They always use extremes in these stories you hear about, but what do you guys think of the less extreme cases? What are you personal limits as for what you're comfortable with? 25 for a 17? 19 for a 15? etc.

If you're 21... why the fuck would you even LOOK at a 16 year old? Chicks in the 20's own... the sex is great, the dating is great, everything is great... and you don't have to worry about her having to be home before 10pm.

If the manager of a Safeway sent creepy IMs to 16 year olds working for him asking about sex and if he made them horny, he'd be up on charges fast enough to make your head spin. Also, can you guarantee that every single page he contacted was over 16 at the time? I got the distinct impression that part of the big deal was that at least some of the contacts were indeed with people who were under-aged.
