This fucking sucks

Xine, Mplayer, Real Player 10, Kaffeine - ALL play video just fine - with no sound. Yet, XMMS plays mp3's just fine (lots of good sound).

Any ideas? I did notice that alsamaster is showing my on board sound card, but that's not the card I'm using.

I need this sound working.

Avi, mpeg, wmi - I need a player that can play ALL file formats.

I think Microsoft makes an OS of some sort. It plays all my media just fine.

Mine is full of viruses and shit and bogged down - Fuck Microsoft and their piece of shit OS.

Ok, I made progress. I had to set the alsa driver mixer channel to master and got sound.

I kind of figured all your movie players wouldn't have sound. Sounds like you have it worked out, if you start having problems again let me know and I can see what I can find for you. Oh and for watching DVD's, try VLC.
