dyeing leather
I have googled how to dye leather, but I can't get the color answer I need. I need to dye brown leather to black...but nothing tells me about that combo. is that because it's as simple as using black dye? what if it's not and I mess up? can anyone help me, if you want some goats I can hook that up. (what are the goats for btw)

If it is vegetable tanned leather, you can dye it black with something like THIS however it it's already been dyed or painted, like a pair of shoes you want to change, you'll have to use something like THIS.
If you could describe it better or snap a couple pictures of what you want to color I could probably give a more definitive answer.
Otherwise take the object to a shoemaker or saddle maker and ask them.
