there is only one way to legally get a handgun. thus "gun control", which is effective with law abiding citizens. personally i think its a huge slap in the face to anyone that believes in their rights or the constitution, but there is not a whole lot that can be done about it.

i agree that unregistered illegal guns are a problem, but again, taking the legal guns away does nothing but empower criminals. they have no interest in the laws, they can buy them from someones trunk.. commit their crime and throw it away. THAT is a huge problem, but the solution is not to ban all non-hunting guns from everyone that goes about the process of posession legally. that's just silly nonsense.

and besides, a 12 gauge shotgun with buckshot will kill a human better than any weapon a person can buy. it's a hunting gun. :wink:

Then it would be a Short Barreled Shotgun if you left the stock on it, or an "Any Other Weapon" if you cut the stock down too. Both regulated under the NFA (but legal to own by going through the tax process).

One time gun were confiscated from the masses was Nazi Germany. 1936. Yeah that one turned out fucking funny as hell didnt it?

Oh then we have Melbourne Aus. Lets see since the banning rape and gun related violence up 600 percent in 5 years. Yeah banning did a whole hell of alot of good.

Now lets look at our current situation. Lets say someone breaks into my house. did you know the average response time of the police in a major city is 10 to 15 minutes? Of course if you add that to the fact the violence(if it is going to happen during a break in) will insue approx 6.4 minutes after break in.

Ifr there is gonna be violence I plan on doing it. Not being done to. You want to threaten my family go ahead. I have a Glock, a shotgun, a shovel and 1 acre out back of my house to bury you in. The police can come after your dead and fill out the paper work.

Well karhar not everyone gets it. Lot of times when guns come up people get all emotional and opininated sted of going with commen sense and facts. To those of you for banning arms have you ever heard of a C.E.Z.?

The option of misuse in this case is very serious, we could have a teacher snap and shoot all his kids, hell there was a teacher the other day that attacked a kid with a stapler. Even if a teacher used the weapon to intimidate his classmates that would be very serious and would cause some big issues, not to mention the other issues mentioned in previous posts. Misuse in this case could lead to lots of deaths, its something that needs to be carefully screened and looked at before it goes into action, and if it becomes a standard plan, then the teachers need to be screened and need to take some courses in proper use of the weapon, and safe storage needs to be addressed.

This is 100% different than bearing arms in your own home, it now has to do with trusting someone to have weapons with your children. Someone that often times you will never even meet, or perhaps meet once or twice through the year.

Kahar, show me where, anywhere, that I advocated the government coming and taking your guns away. My objection is, was, and remains with concealed weaponry and people being armed out in public. You want to have a survivalist arsenal at home, feel free. But having, say, every drunk belligerant frat boy prone to bar fights able to be packing weaponry... oh hell no.

Your making that assumption arlos . Most people that carry legally dont break any laws look the shit up . I dont want you or anyone else deciding how safe i need to be. All it takes is out and about steppin into the wrong spot and not havin a gun could cost you your life. Also you take away peoples right to legally carry and whos left carrying the guns arlos ??? I know your not dense and prolly just dont want to answer that question.

ya know im seeing a patern here....remember Heritage highSchool the year after columbine? I graduated from there WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy back when. I also went to school near Joplin. If there is a shooting in South Hill VA or in Wake Forest NC. We will know trhey are following me.
