I think the world would implode in anger if the 22nd ammendment was changed and Bush was voted into a third term.

I think it could be a good thing if we could actually get a decent president in office.

I agree, but the decent president should prompt the decision to change it, we shouldnt change it before getting a decent president.

I would be all for it. If the people want a president out of office, they will vote them out. Why should the best candidate not be reelected just because he was the best candidate 4 and 8 years earlier?

Horrible idea.

Enough corruption and pandering goes on already with politicians seeking re-election, we don't need it worse than it already is. X(

I'd personally prefer seeing politicians of any major federal position being allowed only 1 term maximum. That way they'll actually do their jobs instead of worrying about getting funds for their next campaign.

I'm kinda torn on this one. On one hand I think it would be great if we had a good president in office for more than 2 terms like Mr. Clinton. On the other hand, the majority of voters voted for GWB.

Actually the majority of voters only voted for bush once, but that’s a different story. Against Kerry, it’s hard to say he wasn't the better candidate. This idea sounds horrible when you have a president in office you don’t like. However if you have a president in office that is doing so well that he has overwhelming support from both sides, it would be a shame to know he couldn’t be reelected and we would soon be led by someone who is at maybe second best. Its a law that can hurt the american people as much as it helps them.

They fucked up the checks and balances built in when they created term limits for the prez. They either need to get rid of the term limits or also impose them on the legislative and judicial branches.

Restore the balance!

They should all be limited to two terms. Federal representitive and governing positions were never meant to be professions.

Greasy bastards. Start in state assemblies, move on to congress, then senate, by that time they've been ruining the country for 30 years with no end in sight. No thanks.
