I quit before the combat changes too. I liked looking at the game, but there was too much to do that it became overwhelming.

I quit all games until we start getting our new paychecks. But I might sneak a subscription to something while Gid is gone.

I get paid just for being married, thanks. Pretty fucking sweet incentive to not do anything but sit on the sofa and eat hohos while my kids run with scissors.

I almost bought one a week ago or so.

Then I changed my mind and bought an Inca Cola.

The real question here is :

Bruisers, are they good, and do people want them in groups ??

That's the true mystery.

One of the best solo classes in the game, but unfortunately not used as much in end game. DPS can be outmatched and tanking abilities in grps can be held by better classes.

But the sweetness with EQ2 is there is less use of the trinity of classes for groups. Lot's of mixing and matching being that the player base is held by more patient and creative players.

Now I'm wondering why I cancled my subscription. If all my RL friends were not pvp'ing in WoW, I would prob head back to EQ2 in a second.

Darc hit the nail on the head. EQ2 devs forgot to keep it simple. It's gorgeous, but they forgot the fun in all the minutia.

Sounds neat to read, but I've done EQ2 twice, and both times it's shown me why I left EQ.

I'd wait for Burning Crusade, Kalec. It'll be a better all around game, and not a rushed 6 month expansion.

Seemed to me I could only get to like level 15 on EQ2 before it turned into a grind fest. Maybe I was doing it wrong though :/

If you feel like you're grinding, you probably are.

Don't grind, it kills the enjoyment.

You can buy this new expansion and it comes with all previous expansions plus the base game.

Recommended:
- Operating System: Windows 98/2000/ME/XP
- Processor: 2 GHz or greater
- RAM: 1 GB
- Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible; pixel shader and vertex shader compatible hardware with 128 MB or more of texture memory
- Sound Card: DirectSound compatible audio hardware

Minimal:
-Operating System: Windows 98/2000/ME/XP
-Processor: 1GHz or greater
-RAM: 512 MB
-Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible. Pixel shader and vertex shader compatible hardware with 64 MB of texture memory
-Sound Card: DirectSound compatible audio hardware

I would say the minimum isn't really true...sure you COULD play but it'd be a slideshow and you'd not be able to see any of the visual eye candy.

I should clarify this....it doesn't come with the mini-expansion...just the full-fledged retail ones.

Honestly, Faydwer is so fun, you really don't need the other expansions. It's the best of all of them IMO.

Does anyone still play?
