In fact I have busted my ass so much, that I have run down my body to the fucking point where I am sick and the doctors have no clue what is wrong with me. They think I may have fucking shingles in the nerves in my mouth... FUCKING SHINGLES. Weak old people get that!! Instead I may have it because I go to school 12 hours a day and work 8 hours or so a shift on top of it. So now I am going to be sent to an infectious disease specialist, yay... I am having tons of fun Harrison. Its real easy over here. That is how easy I am taking it, so easy that I have run my body down to the point where its vulenerable to a disease that normally only elderly people get. Yet, the doctors are not even sure if its that because they have never seen anything like this in someone my age before. So don't accuse me of taking it easy, I think the shit I am going through right now is proof enough that I have fucked up my body by working too hard.

I apologize for ranting on the last paragraph, I just found that out less than an hour ago and I am pretty fucking scared.

I was meaning that it generally only presents in those with weakened immune systems, elderly or very young.

Their issue is that this is in my mouth, they have no clue what the hell I have. They say the closest thing it looks like is shingles, but they have never seen anything like what I have in my mouth. This was a whole team of doctors that I have seen my whole life, and they were pretty fucking stumped. I have to go back Friday, then I get passed on to the infectious disease specialist. Its pretty scary.

I assume I am going to be drugged up on pain meds later and not able to type coherently, but right now I am on a totally liquid diet I cannot eat due to the pain. My whole jaw bone feels like its fucking shattering not to mention speaking causes some new kinds of hurt, let alone the constant ache of just sitting still. The part that scares me if this is shingles is that it can cause nerve damage that will leave me in pain for years, if this is not shingles the part that scares me is WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME? I went to work anyway because I do not want to sit home and think about it, but I'm fucking hurting I might go home anyway. I don't know if I should hope its shingles or hope its the other unknown alternative.

I only drank on days off while I was working. Which was the weekend at that point. Most of 2005 I didn't even drink more than once a month, tops. I was too busy working two jobs to do much else but slave over Molly and my jobs, often times not sleeping for days to manage this.

If I wasn't working for a stretch, yeah, back then I was probably drinking. When did I ever say or imply differently?

Seriously, you're fucking upset because I dropped out of high school and made different decisions than you did for a few years and it's working out for me finally. You're doing exactly what Jay is implying in his post and I never expected that out of you.

Don't overplay Shingles to me either. I've done two research projects on Herpes Zoster. I've never gotten chickenpox and I am always susceptible to getting it now, which would manifest as Shingles at this point.

No they wanted to see the virus progress without anything distorting the symptoms, because they do not really known what I have. I have been told that if I can no longer stand the pain that I can come in tommorow for a pain medication consult instead of waiting for Friday for the pain med consult. I feel like my jaw is fucking breaking, let alone the pain in my cheeks.

I am thinking about it honestly. I have so much going on in my life, and shit loads of debt. If I can find a credit card to throw it on I will :P I want to reroll a pure healer class. I dunno if temps or inqs heal better or if there is no difference besides faction.

I am really busy right now, I just finished my thesis paper for graduation (phew 50 pages of shit off my chest lol), and beside working and having 12 hour class days, I am also working on the side for DogsDeserveBetter.org I love it so much so far, it is amazing being able to educate people, and help neglected animals. If I could do this for the rest of my life 24 hours a day as a job, I would! I have a case in RI right now thats really frustrating but I hope to make a break through soon. I may have to go back to school for Veterinary Medicine after all, nothing makes me feel better than being involved in this.

I've noticed this too. Not to discredit you & your worries Adivina. It sounds like you are dealing with some difficult thing right now, and I offer my sympathy, and hopes that you find a way through it soon.

But yeah, I'm guilty of it too where if someone tells me a story about how life is hard, my first impluse is to share a hard-lucky story myself. Not that I'm necessarily competiting for the omgz-my-life-is-so-rough award, but because I feel like it lets me relate to how they are feeling a little bit. Or something.

My friend in Minnesota had something very similar, but I didn't really know him well at the time he was going through it so I never heard a lot of the details. If it does turn out to be Shingles, though, just be assured that it's not something totally unheard of.

Adi, school isn't for everyone. For anyone to say it's the right way or the wrong way is wrong. I see it like this. Harrison is getting this "free ride" because of 1 of 3 reasons.
