Heh, I remember the BOTBs. They got the numbers messed up on the monk one, so they ended up with 3 finalists, and so we rolled off to see who got a bye, which I won. The other 2 finalists were Metopious and a mangina human monk who's name started with a T that escapes me a the moment (who still plays a monk, somewhere else, as "Wycca" now, apparently, and who still whines about me getting the bye. rofl)
Meto beat T, and then our fight was best of 3. I was pretty confident, as I'd sparred against Meto before the tournament, and he'd not beaten me once. So, of course, the first round, what happens? He beats me. rofl. A friend of mine then sent me a tell asking if I was worried, etc. I replied, "No, now I own his ass", and proceeded to win the next 2 rounds without ever dropping below 50% health.
Of course, I got unlucky in my pairings in the finals, and ran into an Iksar from one of the Zeks. Nearly beat him, but ended up getting out-regenned. The serverwide winner ended up being one of the FOH monks who completely blew everyone else away gear-wise.

Actually, I never got anything swiped, so not sure who you're talking about. I did loan out a fungi once to Kyntaro that he somehow sold or gave away or something. I havn't talked to Robby in years either, wonder whats up with him.
Yea I still do bitch about the monk botb, it was retarded, and at the time I'd told the Gm that the rolling wasn't fair - as it basically detirmined who got two chances (you) and who didnt (m and I), you would've lost if you'd rolled differently.
As far as LoS - sad to see their decline. The drama that guild produced in its heyday was grade A stuff that we all waited for like 50 year old unemployed welfare women & their daytime soaps. Thats just how the Nameless was though, good memories.

I don't think the result would've been any different. If we'd fought, I am 100% sure I'd have beaten you, given that Meto handled you without too much difficulty. If I'd had to face Meto in single elimination, I would've played that first fight differently than I did in the finals, because there I knew I had some leeway. Remember, of about 10 rounds Meto and I fought pre-tournament and during the tournament, that 1 round was the only one he ever won against me in that era. Even much later, when we had gear on par with each other, I'd win 3/4 of our fights.
