Ok, I'll take the bait. What truly ironic statement(s) have I made? I made that comment about spazz because he sounds like a complete retard at least 90% of the time, for reasons that Maeya already pointed out. I don't say anything remotely paralleled to that.

You're just bitter towards me because I'm: A. Christian and B. Conservative. You take issue with that, and you think that Christians and conservatives are *stupid* or *sheepish* because most of us don't buy into the things that you believe in, like: The big bang theory, global warming, evolution, removing "God" from society, embryonic stem cell research, abortion, and on and on.

Face it Tikker, you're just as much an idealogue as anybody else here. I sincerely hope you don't think your IQ is higher than people who believe in God and who scoff at some secular scientific theories.

See, the problem with scoffing at scientific theories is that you have to ignore a whole lot of facts and evidence to do so. I have never, and WILL never say that someone believe in a diety, whether that be the Christian God, the Jewish God, the Islamic Allah, the Hindu dieties, etc. etc. etc. is less intelligent than anyone else due to their belief in said diety. As I have said more than once, I have my own set of spiritual beliefs, so it would be most hypocritical to insult others for having their own, regardless if theirs differs from mine own.

The thing is, none of those scientific theories are in any way counter to Christian belief. Science says the Big Bang happened, even if we don't understand how it worked, exactly. What we cannot say is why, or if it was made to happen. Can YOU say, with absolute surety, that God could not have created the universe by way OF the Big Bang? How do you know He could not have used the Big Bang as His mechanism?

Likewise evolution. I know you believe that God caused all life, animals, etc. to come into being. How do YOU know how He went about doing that creation? Which makes more sense, that he would wave his metaphoric hand, and *poof* they appear? Or that he would work through the natural processes that make up the universe that He created, over the infinity of time to bring them into existence? How can you say for sure that that is NOT how He worked?

Doesn't it seem a trifle arrogant to claim YOU know how GOD caused things to come into being? That it would have been impossible for him to have casued a Big Bang or to cause Evolution to work out as it has? How can you KNOW?

After all, if you believe in Christianity, you believe he gave us minds, reason, and the capacity to understand science for a reason, yes? Why is it beyond the realm of possibility that He would WANT humankind to be able to investigate how He created the Universe and his Children? Why deny science simply because some few scientists deny all that is spiritual? Remember, that denial is not necessarily a statement of personal disbelief, it is often a necessary one, as the spiritual side of existance is something to which science cannot, and can never speak to. Science speaks of How, and method, never "Why".

So, Mindia, can you answer my questions in the honest spirit in which I ask them?

Well, first off Arlos, you seem to be taking what I said to Tikker, as directed towards you... and it wasn't.

The main disputes/arguments between religious people and seculars in regards to science, is whether or not the proposed "evidence" and "fact" is actual "evidence" and "fact." In other words, a lot of what is being disputed is the validity of what is being presented as evidence and fact. Now don't get me wrong. I think science is great. It's interesting, fun (in some respects) and it has helped mankind in very positive ways. I find astronomy to be the most fascinating of the sciences.

There has been no "evidence" in the fossil record for mankind's evolution... only theories, hypothesis, and wishful thinking on the part of secular progressives who are trying sooooooooo hard to disprove "God." There has also been no valid evidence presented as to earth's existence coming into being by a "big bang." If you want to say that dinosaurs existed, then fine... I will agree with you, because of the evidence in the fossil record.

Can I prove that man was created by God, and that God exists? Hell no I can't. But it makes sense to me, and I believe it. Do you believe the story of Moses parting the Red Sea to escape from the pharoah? Take a look at Lennart Moller's discoveries at the bottom of the Red Sea. He found hundreds of pieces of what appears to be fossilized (coralized) chariot wheels and axles. Yeah... goosebumps and jaw-dropping awe. Is it evidence? Kind of, but not really, although at face value it kind of corroborates the story of Moses in my opinion.

If there was such tangible evidence (such as Moller's discoveries) to support evolution or a big bang, then I wouldn't be so opposed to the validity of it. But such evidence has not been seriously presented, or found. I'm not turning a blind eye to science... I'm pretty educated and well-informed, and I do check out different scientific sources because I really do find the sciences interesting, and at times, fascinating.

Again, I don't believe (at this point) that God used a big bang as a mechanism for creating the universe, nor do I believe that man evolved from mudskippers that slithered around on their bellies. It's preposterous to me, and makes no sense whatsoever. If you choose to believe it, then fine... I won't slam you for it, but don't try to pass off your theories and hypothesis as "fact" or "evidence," because it isn't.

I don't try to pass my religious beliefs as facts either. Although, there is proof that Jesus existed and performed miracles (per the hundreds and thousands of witnesses).

Mindia....I agree with some of your points at times but your rantings and commentary really make me hesitate to agree with you. You really need to work on presenting your side of things in a clear, concise and above all detached manner. You're overly emotional and that colors everything you say.

Also, your overuse of the emoticons makes you seem immature.

Why even have the emoticons then? I think they are funny and can accurately depict how you're feeling at the moment.

That's all part of the "being overly emotional".

Seriously, go back and look at some of your old posts. Are you impressed with what you had to say? Do you think you made your point so others can see your point of view?

I do this periodically with my posts...just to see.... :)

I call certain friends of mine "my homies" and "family", its generally to refer to certain types of friends only, the ones that I am really close too and would take a bullet for in a heart beat. Also I use it descriptively, I don't say "Yo, Homie!", etc.

It would be more along the lines of when I talk about them to someone.

For example: "That girl is family to me, she is my fucking homie." I don't use it in everday talk and such, before this I don't think I have said it once on the boards even.

However, I have a problem with calling someone my niggah or any variation of it. It just seems disrespectful. Homie is not really a cultural term, where as nigger has a huge history behind it, stemming from being derogatory to being embraced by the black culture. I just don't feel like its a word I have any place using.
