WTF are you talking about, kid? I have a problem with the people who are using the government (and my money) and not even attempting to get a job. If you're at least working then I have no problem with extra help.
Don't be pissed at me because you got fired from your delivery job and can't do any better.
Thats not even what i said tacks. I said decent jobs are hard to come by and getting harder. I said if people could find decent work they wouldnt have to live off your asistance at all. I also think your forgetting there are a lot of people out there who want to work but cant find a job. Im not pissed at all Your lame and dont have me pegged at all.

Decent jobs are not hard to come by unless you're a GED special ed dropout who still thinks it's cooler to smoke up than to get paid. (don't take that personal unless it's true)
I also don't want to hear the bullshit about "i want to work but nobody wants to hire me!". Fuck that, if nobody wants to hire you, you're not trying hard enough.

Actually it is pretty hard to get a decent job. The best spots here are filled already and the closest place to go to get a decent job here is like an hour away. You are pretty much limited to hardware stores or fast food here. Lennox and shit is filled up already and so are the rest of the factories pretty much.
an hour away? big fucking deal, half the people who work with me live that far. One of the other managers lives 2.5 hours away...like I said, if you don't have a decent job then you're not trying hard enough.

Might not be a big deal for you but it damn sure is for me. Don't feel like having to go to another town to get a fucking job.....well I mean I don't need to anyway since my parents own a chain of stores here and they pay me $650 per trip to chicago when I go and pick up merchandise and crap. But I would rather not have to drive an hour away or else be stuck with fastfood or shit menards. I drive as it is 11-12 hours a week....and that's just including going to chicago and coming back. It would be nice to get a job here that payed more then $5.50 that would give some decent hours.
I don't believe for one second that NOBODY is hiring in your area for more than minimum wage. Might you have to do something you don't like? Maybe. Don't make me look up jobs online in your area to prove you wrong....

The amazing careers around here.......shit they have a lot of rooms for nurses....to bad I'm not a liscensed nurse eh? The best job around here is proly PCA which is 16.50 starting 17.50 for forklift operators. Trying to score that job as part time but it's freaking packed.

Janitors make more than minimum wage, truck drivers can make a ton of money, its very easy to learn how to weld, right theres 3 jobs that will START at 3x minimum wage...so I guess you've proven my point. None of those jobs require anything more than a GED to do and probably even less. Would they suck to do? yes but there ARE jobs out there.
You are forgetting that there are many people looking for those same jobs so yeah, if you see a job ad in the paper, the job most likely exists, it's the 1000 other people applying for the same position that get in the way.
Hes not forgetting its just easier for his small brain to blame the person without a job than to think about why that person might not be able to find a job.

I have a baby at home. There isnt a day care n my town (small town, mind you) that will take children under 6 months.
There is a day care in the next town that will take 6 weeks and up, but the price is more than we can afford, I would more or less be using that job to pay for day care and gas, which to me isnt worth it.
After Christmas, I do have a baby sitter lined up and I'll probably be working weekends for "extra money". If we get someone to buy our Firebird, we would be able to drop WIC. Until then, we need it for the formula.
I'm not picky, I'll work at Subway or a grocery store, so it's not about me being a job snob, it's about child care.

That's ok then, if you can't afford to have children the government and us working folk will take care of it np. Too bad now I can't afford to have children of my own but at least you can.
WIC is one of the few programs that I actually support. When my sister had her kid 8 years ago she was going to college at Utica/Syracuse university which isn't cheap, and she was making 5 bucks an hour. That BARELY paid for the babysitter. So yea she used WIC to help her out with formula and what not, and if not for that program theres no way she could have afforded uber expensive formula AND an education. Luckily she completed college and her and her hubby now make 100k+ a year.

What year is the Firebird?

98 I think. Wanna drive to TX and buy it? Cheap. We arent looking to make a profit off of it, just want it off our hands for the amount that we owe, if we can.
Oh and to add to my previous post. So yes she took our money 8 years ago, but now she has paid out more than that back with her taxes from their now decent income... But I guess that would be an example of the ideal usage of WIC, and perhaps ( most likely) the percentage that use it and end up never contributing the money back is greater.
And in upstate NY, min. wage is 5.15, milk is 2.39 - 2.99, and gas is at an alltime low for us at 2.39. It actually just went up 2 cents, so maybe its going to start climbing in price again. Candy bars are .79 to .99 , and a pack of Marlboro's at the state min. is 4.50.
