okay so usually when i plug my digital camera into my computer, a dialog box pops up asking me what i want to do and i say import and save.

that dialog box no longer comes up! how do i get it back?

Well, I had to ask because sometimes it doesn't turn on from simply plugging it into the usb or whichever interface you use.

Try doing a hardware scan, it will probably pick it up.

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add Hardware

Sometimes simply going into "My computer" and hitting F5 works as well, although rare...

i don't think i have the installation disc anymore and my computer doesn't recognize the camera as a camera anymore. it recognizes it as a mass storage device but the scanner and camera wizard that i used to use no longer sees my camera as a camera. help?

What kind of camera is it?

You should be able to download the software from the manufacturer website.

i got there too but i'm unsure of what to download.
