Well here we go!
It's that time of year again when we get blasted with jewelery store commercial after commericial telling you what a piece of shit you are unless you spend an ass load of money buying your a big ass diamond.
I've already seen about 5 of them... it - has - begun.
The terror that is jewelery store commercials.

You are mistaking Markarado for Flink.

Markarado is the one who fucked up and didn't keep nailing the hot Asian roomate.
Flink is the one who wears lipstick and wears V-necks and posts pictures of that on the internet.
Easy mistake.

never liked diamonds either.
The day I realized Martrae was the perfect one mofr me was when we went to the jewelry store to pick out her engagement ring. She went right past the diamonds and went to the Sapphire sets. oh yeah. 1k saphire in a gold band and my ass still had enough left over to upgrade our computers.

ehhh, i don't like diamonds much, either. or gold, actually.
give me some sterling silver with something blue in it and i'll be happy. actually, the ring i wear all the time now is sterling silver with citrine. josh got it for me when we were on vacation in colorado and i never take it off. my other ring is sterling silver with a star sapphire in it, from my mom. i love it. i used to wear it on my ring finger of my left hand when i first got it, but it's changed fingers about four times since i started losing weight. it finally ended up on the middle finger of my right hand, although technically, it will go on any one of my ten fingers.

Diamonds and the diamond cartel is such bullshit. Listen to the women testamonials on these radio commercials for places like jerod's. Vapid, stupid, morons. I am so glad I didnt end up with one of those she-bitch uber-consumer idiots. They dont even know WHY they want a diamond ring. The TV tells them they want one, and Janey at church just got a huge one that Bob took out a second mortgage for, TRUE LOVE!
Soon all this stupid diamond bullshit will come to an end.
Man-made diamonds sparkle with potential

BOSTON — In the back room of an unmarked brown building in a run-down strip mall, eight machines, each the size of a bass drum, are making diamonds.
Apollo Diamond "seeds" grow into pure diamonds perfect for lasers and computer chips, as well as jewelry.

That's right — making diamonds. Real ones, all but indistinguishable from the stones formed by a billion or so years' worth of intense pressure, later to be sold at Tiffany's.

Aryy has gotten me a diamond/gold ring before, and I really liked it.
However, I am not the kind of person to expect jewelry for anything, unless its something obvious like a wedding band which is part of the whole ceremony. I don't expect jewelry for holidays, anniversaries, etc. On the occasions that I have gotten jewelry from Aryy I have loved it and I wear it every day (except the ring, I need to get it resized again, my finger got fatter or something!)
When it comes to what I like, I also prefer silver or white gold to gold, so I can be easily pleased with something less expensive, I like diamonds, but I also love how other gemstones look and am more drawn to them.
Honestly, I could give a fuck less what someone gives me for a present on the holidays, as long as it shows that they were thinking of me. A handwritten letter about how much I mean to someone, or a couple books that I have been showing interest in, etc, mean more to me than someone showering money on me just because they think they have to. The fact that Aryy gets me jewelry on a rare occasion makes it more special, because I know he saw something and thought that I would like it, not that he is just showering me in jewelry because it is the thing to do.
