No - they are going to lose. The Pat's D looks like utter and absolute shit. Colt's have score every time they've touched the ball - Pat's with 3 turn overs.

It's over and it's only third quarter.

Both D's are sorry... he who scores first and makes no mistakes will win. Colts scored first and have made no major mistakes. Pats have three turn overs and a bunch of penalties...

Colts got this one wrapped up. Mark my words.

If the Pat's D could stop the Colt's O - then maybe.... maybe they could catch up and pull a win out - but they can't. Colts will continue to score on every touch. Watch and see.

NE's D is really weak. A lot weaker than I had thought. I'm suprised they're 6 and 1.

Harrison and Wilson, both starting safeties, were out. Having both safeties out will hurt you against most any team. Having them out versus the Colts isn't very appealing. With both safeties out, the Patriots were forced to abandon bump and run physical coverage that has been their trademark vs Indianapolis, and had to rely on a very porous 'bend but don't break' zone to delay any possible scoring drive by Indy.

That said, the real culprit of this game lies squarely on the shoulders of the offense and special teams. I thought the play calling was terrible - Pats averaged over 4.5 yards per carry - yet seemed to call screen plays over and over that never worked once. Brady also uncharacteristically made two bad decisions throwing it into double coverage on both 1st Half's INT's inside Indy territory. His receivers didn't help him though at all - Watson dropped a critical 3rd down (and perfectly thrown) pass at the 8 yard line - and Faulk dropped and tipped one up for grabs for the final INT. Also every NE penalty seemed to happen on a crucial 3rd down play. All in all it was the poorest execution I've seen by the QB and WR's of NE in a long while.

NE defense is not weak. In fact coming in to the game, it was one of the top Defenses. Its just that Manning and the Colts offense is hitting on all cylinders. You cant stop it all the time. They really tightened up in the second half, and really put the Pats back in the game, with those turnovers it could have gotten really ugly.

Indy's remaining schedule is pretty easy, im not going to say undefeated. However the AFC looks like they are going to have to go through Indy in Indy, to reach the superbowl though.

Did we watch the same game? I saw Colt reciever after reciever out in the secondary with as much as 5 yards plus with no one around them. You CAN'T allow that much of a "buffer" with Manning in the pocket. They should have went with the dime and assigned a safety to do nothing else but help cover Harrison. Putting pressure on Manning is fine, but not at the expense of having half-coverage of the secondary going on.

Actually, I think Faulk cost them the game, really. I know it's hard to put the blame on ONE man, but damn he fucked up... bad... TWICE. Dropped a pass that would have been a TD then let another pass (during the final drive) flop right through his hands. If I were Faulk I would be hiding out on the low for a while. Granted, he just made mistakes... but when you're a pro and making millions, you're not supposed to be making college true freshman mistakes like that.

We just have different views of the game. As far as I am concerned they could have won, but Faulk cost them the game in the end - despite other contributing factors.

They have two of the best ground pounders in the game... they should have stuck to using Dillion and Maronie (sp) and ran the ball a lot more, but they didn't. They should have done a lot of things different, but didn't.

NE will make the playoffs, but I don't think they can get past the Colts this time around. I think Indy might actually make it this year. Despite the choke factor.

Diek its kind of pick your poison with Colts. Patriots dont play alot of Man to Man coverage. They play off in the cover two. If you are up in bump and run Wayne and Harrison have excellent acceleration and will beat you deep. If you play off they run the short routes. If you go into zone, they use the tight end more for receptions. The reason they played back was to not give up the deep ball. The philosophy is to give them the short routes and EVENTUALLY they will have an overthrow, a tip ball, wrong route, or a sack. Its a Bend but dont Break defense scheme. Honestly Defensivly i think NE did the best they could (wich isnt good against Indy). Peyton was perfect with his passes last night. In the cold of january in Foxborro though, those passes woulcnt have been.

As far as the Patriots offense goes. Im with you, i was SHOCKED that they didnt run the ball more. Their second possetion when they went down and scored i think took Indy by surprise. I think indy was looking for the run, wich is why the pass was succesful. If im Belicheck (however there is a reason im not a coach and Belechick has 3 rings) i pound, pound, pound, pound. Slow the game down, keep Manning and the Colts offense off the field, and not allow them to get rythem. Shocked i tell ya!

Way to make a game prediction in the 3rd quarter, fucktard! At least Phlegm made his pick hours before the game.

Your only saving grace is that your pathetic Bills beat the Packers. Nice work there.

After watching the Pats play for.... ohhh... 20 years now, I think it's pretty safe to say I can tell when they're either going to win or lose by half-time. Same with the Bills. After watching them for about 16 years I can pretty much tell by half time whether or not they're going to pull it off in the end.

Bills are horrid this year and they're going to be for a very long time until they can find a decent QB and better leadership from the sideline and box. Maybe I'm crazy for saying this, but there's a part of me that thinks Buffalo is cursed from the 4 SB loses. Maybe a lot of good players avoid the Bills because they can't win the big one. Probably not, in reality anyway, but just a thought.

By the way... your little pissereens are going to be made fools of come the 18th. I just hope you have a box of kleenex next to your couch. I would also suggest putting the Suicide Hotline on speed dial, just in case.
