I managed to kill lots of raids (with some others' help at times) in the Hole... me and the Hole have a love-hate relationship.... and Xaasf was just part of a threesome that night.

speaking of bad raids... anyone remember the Pendret Vox raid? A few of the people (all) were left (dead) behind by Pendret who has a raid with a guild he was tryin to get into/or was in...and it was up to me Cornell (Brinstar) Me and a couple others to fix the mess.

That was the night i emptied my bank, and then it was never over 2000 plat after that

This barely sticks out in my mind for some reason, all I remember is talking with a few people in Euph and laughing about the whole thing while it was happening. We were mainly laughing about how retarded Wooh was.

I'd have never thought about it if it wasn't for how much former members of Euphoria dwelled on it -- seems they're the only ones who ever bring it up. (its really interesting hearing multiple perspectives on it 3 years later -- it allows you to see how much time/stupidity can warp someone's recollection...even moreso when they feel the need to bring it up 3 years later)

My most memorable raid was with my first POH raid. Went in with COA and it was the first time I got to pull. Kept getting single pulls and I couldn't figure out how I was doing it. I was intentionally trying to train the raid (we were killing really fast) and I couldn't manage pulls of more than 2 or 3. Was a lot of fun.

The COA raid when Vinshayr(sp) trained us in Plane of Growth -- think Stefi was leading that one. Its not everyday you get trained by a GM.

Nothing after Velious was really exciting though, so no real reason to keep it in mind.

I was talking with Wooh through most of that whole ordeal. We giggled like girls about it.

Most memorable is probably the infamous Euphoria/Shock NToV stand off.

I actually LEFT my house, and ran to grab food, then to a friends house to pick up something and came home to find myself still sitting in the same spot in ToV with my guild not missing a thing.

those were good times, sorta.... well not really. heh

I remember the LoS Sanctuary Icewell incident also. I think it was a day off from raidin and i was screwing around in Thurg and went into Icewell and all hell had broken lose.

And during a trak raid for shits and giggles, Pendret constantly shouting "IS TRAK UP?" and i think about 50 people answered everytime saying "He just died"

Pendret wasn't bad, just a dufus which all of us are.

I also remember Foogly and his Snowcone of Death

Oh yeah, remembered one of my last raids too. It was with Euphoria and I was at my wit's end with that guild. So we were doing the loan bird in Fire (name escapes me atm). I hate people buffing me with buffs I don't ask for. Someone cast see invis on me, and I told them to knock it the fuck off. Finally Derrict thought it would be funy to spam me with resist cold and someone else spammed me with see invis. I told them to knock it off, yet they kept it up. So, I replaced C heal for Atone in my spell line up, on engage, I counted to 4 and cast. Derrict was first slain, and I giggled like a school girl. I think we were down to 15 people when aggro finally was under control and we won, I gated when the mob dropped, camped and think that was the night I quit the game for good. (other than single night returns to piss people off) Man, I was bitchy

/sigh.

Hey Ginz, want to share the Millers/WC Freeport Guards/Butcher Dwarfs? I remember when you started killing the ones at the docks. All I could think was "If I could just get some GE Boots, then I could do the same". Oh what times!

I am the bane of the butcherblock merchant dwarves.

The highelf merchant at the dock didn't seem to mind though, considering I sold all the dwarf axes to him.

Guess I was getting rid of his competition.

Once upon a time

Postby Pendret » Mon Jun 14, 2004 12:46 pm

It was June 27, 1984. Vox was up and there was a raid planned by that horrible Pendret Jay Shamus (his name before he married his beloved Bofa and became Pendret Jay Deez Esquire). He was a known ebayer, hacker, mangina, slut... call him what you want, he was a downright loser. Everyone hated him. That's why they came. There was no chance of phat loots. There never were. Everyone knew that Pendret was a 9 year old with a .5 inch pipi. There was no way he could slay a dragon.

The moment of truth came. Everyone died, as the prophets had prophesized. It was exactly as the forseers had forseen. That horrible dogshit Pendret had (clearly) gotten everyone killed on purpose. And to add to it, he never made any arrangements to have a necro summon corpses, and he didn't even spend a dime of his own money on coffins. He left and went to a plane of hate raid so that he could... try out for that guild he wanted to join... and he went alone. No one else from that Vox raid went... yes that's it. That's exactly what happened.

Hi Pen~

Back in the day some of my favorite raids were PoH pickup raids that i lead alot of to get my indo armor. Lots of really cool people that have long since quit used to be at those... Wooh, Angie,Damorn, Holyfield, the Archy's to name just a few.... Best one was after dozens of raids finally getting 2 warrior BPs and a cle BP in the same raid and within 5 minutes of eachother. The 7:30 am Grandmaster kill with Ravenjix and only about 5 others for the war bracer/gaunt drop was pretty cool too. That was about a 15 hour raid, gogo repops.

My frist plane raid with The Hunters was going smoothly, untill i decided it would be cool to lev up a tree behind the temple on the wall the raid was standing around. Nearly urinated when the entire temple HT'd me and proceeded to destroy the entire raid, gogo 2 hour CR

During the early days of Regret a certain ToV raid comes to mind. We pulled a white wurm to the ledge and he gated of course~ several times. After killing several add wyverns/wurms and loosing almost all of the 25ish person raid it finally ended up with me Pendret and Goleleb about halfway in to HoT killing the wurm in his room. When we finally won, both of them were totally OOM and near death, while i had about 20percent hp.That was probably the most intense fight of my EQ career, though ive had alot since that came close. Think the wurm dropped leather hat and chain bracer if i remember right, was so ubr.

My first NToV raid with remedy was pretty sweet, we smoked Aary and i was there for what i believe was their 1st Vyemm kill, good fights for true.

Sukartiz and his pull messages were pretty hillarious, in fact most of the chat in ntov was probably some of the funniest stuff ever.

Regret's 1st Tunare kill at about 5 or 6 in the morning was wild

Our 1st MOTG raid in ST was with about 8 people and we whomped him was good stuff........ This Is A Book

TFS 1st rathe kill recently was one i'll always remember too

I met most of my druid friends over disputes of the millers camp in qeynos hills, so sad ! Think I even logged on Arbaal and bullied them all out when they wanted to share with me too !

^ Oh and I remember that well. Me and Ginz sharing and then Sindsygautonum shows up wanting camp. We refused to give it up and all of a sudden there stood Arbaal on the hill! Was a female DE SK, that also fought over that camp with us at the same time.....

assholes. I simply went to an area with comparable spawns(OoT Sisters) and proceeded to fuck myself in the ass before they implemented the druid epic.

It wasn't until I was level 33 did I end up going KoS to them... but goddamn it was worth avoiding Sindsygautonom!
