EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It's responsible for pumping exhaust back into your engine to reduce the smog your vehicle generates. At low RPM's if it pumps to much exhaust into the engine it can cause a very rough idle or even stalls. My guess is that Dylan had his replaced and it needs some adjustment.

yeah, my EGR valve has been fucked for about a month now and I just haven't had the energy to fix it myself ><
