I said "Screw this." and walked out of my boss's office.

Ten minutes later, he was in my office apologizing.

i drew some plans for this shitty pizzeria that's going to fail in 2 months then had a meeting with the owner who was ecstatic over a 2 hour auto cad copy/paste job and then got paid $2,000 cash and then went home at 2 pm

Did you draw in the details of the failure? That'd been sweet.

yesterday my new Dell laptop arrived, so instead of auditing some reports, I spent the whole afternoon reformatting and reinstalling the OS!

Had another San Jose area delivery last night and saw 2 HUGE rats at a Burger King on the corner of Capitol Expwy & McKee Rd in San Jose. Then I delivered to the Burger King that's inside San Jose State University. I kept wondering which of the multitude of San Jose mutants was Arlos. /jeje

Heh, I don't eat at Burger King if I can help it, not since I got food poisoning at one once. Hrm, last night, wasn't on campus, was sitting in my apartment studying for a web programming midterm.

I spent all night boring holes in a fixture to a .0001" tolerance because of a fuck up on a blueprint and a breakdown of communication, they could have been drilled to a .005" tolerance. Read, spent 10 hours on something that should have taken 2.

:dunno: Either way, I get paid by the hour.

I spent the week on an oil rig telling the roughnecks to rig my shit up for a dual zone perforating and gravel pack job. Easy money, I get to stand around and point. You can thank me later for helping you with your oil dependency!

I delivered a Panda Express in the downtown Sacramento mall last night. It was kind of a pain in the ass because you have to downstack everything onto a pallet and then use a pallet jack to move the pallets into the freight elevator.

Anyway, when we were done delivering the store, we came back to the truck and some guy was standing next to the truck. He looked young, like around 19 or something. He said he was low on cash and asked us if we needed help unloading the truck. I told him that it's against Sygma's policy to allow non-employees on the truck at any time. Then he said, "Oh ok... well, can I help you guys out in any other way then?" He winked when he said it. lol

That's one of the drawbacks to this job. You run into weirdos, druggies, and prostitutes (male or female) almost every shift. :ugh: Sometimes it's pretty funny though.

Yeah, to hell with longhaul. One of my buddies works for Gordon Trucking. Although, it's a great company to work for, he still has to pretty much live in his truck when he's over-the-road, and that's the kind of crap he has to deal with all the time. He said another thing that's really bad is when he's sleeping in his truck at a rest area or truck stop, and some longhauler with a reefer parks right next to him, and the reefer goes off and on all night long. Those things are loud as hell. Our TK's (Thermo-King reefers) are 4-cylinder diesel engines.
