Tell me what RPGs to play. :o

Post by Yamori »

I'm a herd animal so direct me np

I've done the shitty PS2 Final Fantasy games, Xenosagas 1/2, Shadow Hearts, Shadow of Destiny, Kingdom Hearts 1...

Any other worthwhile ones that I've missed and are worth looking at?

Dragon Quest VIII isn't innovative or anything, but its an RPG that is kinda fun.

.hack sucks a .cack.

Oblivion.

If you can go back to FF, FFXII is decent. Set aside some farming time though.

Get it free with a SNES emulator. Easily one of the best RPGs of all time, I definately think you would enjoy this one Rusty.

Either Chrono or super mario RPG or Earthbound. If youve never played these 3, PLAY THEM NOW. Earthbound is one under rated RPG, but one of the best.

Also, if you have access to a Sega CD emulator download Lunar, either one, the 1st one is better though. They ported them to PS, but not as good as the original vibe.

The alchemy system and leveling owned. The levels are diverse and the story line is GREAT.

Still a fan of the old time Phantasy Star ones here. If you have a GBA they have a cart with PS 1, 2, 3 on it.

You could also look for:

Dragon Warrior/Quest 3-8 ( 7 is the longest game i've ever played 130+ hours)

Wild Arms (the first one kicks ass)

Arc the Lad

Tales of "insert name here" series (battles are action oriented)

Star Ocean 2

Phantasy Star 1 - 4 (4 is the best imo)

Secret of Mana/Evermore

Chrono Trigger

Suikoden 1 - 5 (play in order 4,5,1,2,3)

Shadowrun (Genesis version FTW)

Valkyrie Profile

and if you want to play a real piece of crap, track down a game called:

Beyond the Beyond

Easily one of the worst games I've ever played.
