T- Mobile

Postby Narrock » Tue Nov 14, 2006 8:17 pm

Anybody have this cellular service? I have an old AT&T package through Cingular and I have 1050 "anytime" minutes for $39.95/mo. but I keep going over the minutes and my monthly cell phone bill is always like $120. I checked Cingular's new plans and they all pretty much suck. Same goes for Verizon and Sprint. Metro PCS has too limited of area coverage. That's why I'm considering T-Mobile.

T-Mobile has a plan for $59.95/mo. that gives you 1500 "anytime" minutes per month. That would work for me. Plus, their area of coverage is HUGE. I'd like to know though before I sign up for a 2-year contract if anybody here has T-Mobile and can offer some insight on it.

They suck cock in Marin. Cingular is better in that area and Verizon is good pretty much anywhere but you're SOL if you travel overseas with Verizon.

I have Verizon. I talk all the time on my cell phone and the bill is usually $100 a month.

I wish the bill was less. Oh well.

Anyway, I use sprint. Get a 50% UPS discount to on my bill, use to work for them, and just never updated sprint's records. I am looking into a new phone, esp. since yesterday my display looks like a TV with a rolling static and I dont want to have to goto the store and wait forever to get a replacement. Anyone have experience with that?

I use T-Mobile and haven't had a problem. I almost went with Verizon until I saw how much more expensive they were than everyone else. Then I talked to a friend who had Verizon who said she had a lot of dropped calls and billing issues (so much for that magical "network" they like the brag about).

Verizon = overrated and high priced.
T-Mobile = good.

Yep, I had Verizon and it was terrible, dropped calls left and right. In the middle of Seattle I had zero signal and never had signal at my house either. And on top of that, just recently my friend had to get a new phone through Verizon and they billed him for the cover charge on the phone he returned, and now they refuse to remove the charges until they find it and confirm it was shipped.

I have both Verizon and Cingular but I'm always metropolitan so it doesn't really matter.

I have MetroPCS and it is decent for the price. Unlimited minutes and unlimited text for $49.95/month. Can't beat that. The signal fades sometimes but hey, beggers cant be choosers, eh???

Yup. We switched from Verizon because of dropped calls, calls dropping out in the middle of conversations (still connected but cannot hear the other person) and the connection at our house was total dogshit.

T-Mobile has been great for us (about 6 months so far). I would check and make sure they have coverage in the areas where you really plan to use the phone the most before switching.

All in all I have no complaints about T-Mobile.

Same here Dylan, but we're in the area so it figures. ;)
