Maybe some day when we don't have state run education and have less idiots on the street.

If anything, it would help thin the herd.

Actually, all the time I spend on the interstate, I find the canadian truck drivers to be the worst of all. Just downright inconsiderate.

Of course I'm under the impression the only reason semi rigs are on the road is to be in my way.

I don't even think it's that much of a cultural attitude thing - It's mainly a matter of volume. Europe could potentially get away with it because they don't have nearly as many cars-per-person, and they don't drive as much due to the geography being much more compact and a lot more easily available public transporation.

The problem isn't the interstate, it's more places like New York City. None of the places this has been tried are large and with tons of traffic. Having been in NYC, and seen the milling throngs of foot traffic combined with the wall-to-wall numbers of cars, if this were tried there it would be a complete disaster.

I would be ecstatic if they did this in say, NYC or San Francisco. I'd bake a cake and invite friends over to watch traffic on TV.

I was in a suburb of Boston recently for a wedding. Might as well not have had signs for the lack of correct ones in place.

Worked well on thinning out the old people driving however. I did not see one the whole week I was there.
