well it's obvious that you either can't see everything that people are ninja-modding then~

someone fucked with a post, and rather than just complain about it, I edit'd some of my own posts to bring attention to the matter that we have some douche bag mods doing stupid shit that really shouldn't be moderators~

I have zero issues with people moderating but ninja editing posts in a lameass attempt to be funny is just gay

Well if we take everyone at face value and there is no lying going on then:

Posts are being edited by someone besides the original poster
If it were a moderator or admin logs would indicate who and when edited the posts
There is no indication in the logs of posts being ninja edited by a mod or admin.
No admin has removed information from the logs

What we are left with is someone has compromised the board. Either they have gained access to individual accounts (where they could edit and individuals post without it being logged), or gained some type of administrative access where they could edit posts and logs or do back end edits somehow circumventing normal triggers that log the edits.

My knowledge on how exactly logging is tracked for message boards is lacking, I'm assuming however that the front end interfaces do the logging and not back end SQL triggers on tables. That being said if someone figured out how to edit data in the tables they could edit with no trace in the logs.

Frankly if someone had this sort of access they are keeping it pretty low key, and I'd sooner suspect one or more user accounts are compromised which would generally point to a few people having posts edited (and therefore appear to be targets of mod/admin e-peen abuse) with no actual evidence (since from what vonk said user edits are not logged).

I'd recommend at least for a time that one of the admins turn on and configure user level logging, and that anyone who's been a victim of post editing that has not been claimed by a mod change their site password.

Sure, it could have been any other mod, but it was done in his style, and fits with his typical MO

He told me he edited one of your posts as a joke and he sent you either an IM or a PM about it when he did it. That was the only edit that showed up on the logs that was in anyway relevant to this whole thing...which is what I said. Now whether you didn't get the IM or whatever, I don't have control over.
