Friday night, my trial expires. It is a cool game, but just reminds me of like...dark cloud and final fantasy...i don't talk to anyone ....just kill kill kill

ok ok..so i told a couple people they were rude..but that's about it

i am on the blackwater raiders roleplay server and nothing happens here at all except for kill stealing

i doubt i will stay on this game after friday.....i like it and all, but i prefer eq for some reason...i doubt it is the people because they have my emaail and quite a few people have my number..i rarely even get to play eq...

as i sit on wow...i am reminded of my army on eq that I worked so very hard on...dude..i love my characters...they are like paintings to me...paintings I keep adding to and sometimes, taking away from....

wow is nifty..maybe i will buy another trial and see how that one goes..at this point, i am not convinced...

p.s. I am almost lvl 20..i slowed down when wally told me i couldn't get past 20 anyway and started exploring......haven't seen anything breathtaking yet

it is rp/pvp..i have never played a pvp before...

i don't care who comes and slaughters me ove rand over again because i will just log and not tell you guys where i am next time~!

I'm not surprised you aren't impressed with the graphics, compared to EQ they just don't stack up.

EQ2 maybe but WoW's graphics are way better then EQ1. Just look at a tree.

WoW is just different from EQ

it does certain things better, some things worse

a lot of the animations are better, but I don't think it does as good a job of making things feel epic the way EQ did

That's because EQ was the first for you Tikk, not because of anything WoW did differently.

I think the current first generation MMORPGers that are playing WoW probably have the same feeling you had when you were playing EQ.

Nah I played EQ for 6 years it was my first graphical mud and yes it was eye candy at the time zomg wizzy ports, shiny weapons that glow, oh my!

I played UO for about a year before picking up EQ

people like WoW better than EQ because they don't get penalized for being fucking retards

But the penalty for death in WoW is worse than it is in EQ so that point is complete invalid.

Anybody can participate in SOME end game content, but top level stuff isn't being done by random guilds.

One thing Wow never had for me was the fear of dieing I'm not sure if its attributed to death system in place, but until I played a cleric dieing was something I avoided at all costs! Shit, it is the reason I started a cleric haha. Take for example the first time I went to ToV. Or my first naggy/vox raids. The list goes on. I never once felt scared of dieing in wow, ever.

When you die in WoW you lose money.

When you die in EQ at the end game you lose absolutely nothing.
