What the fuck was I thinking

Postby The Kizzy » Thu Dec 07, 2006 12:19 am

So I figured with the holidays coming up and trying to save money I would do my own eyebrows. I have been getting them waxed every tweo weeks for the last 4 years. I haven't had them done recently because I have no time, and every where around here is way too expensive. So I go and buy some of that nair stuff, I figure how hard can it be? My face BURNS and My right eyebrow is perfect while me left eyebrow looks like I mangled it with a weedeater. Im gonna go cry.

I wax my own eyebrows.. I get sally hanson strips and cut them - when you cut them they're identical on both sides and it's easy to match up, then you just warm it up on your hands place it on your face and yoink.

Always a bad idea when my wife grabs her pluckers, have to jump in with telling her she should make a massage/wax app for the weekend. ><

trust me bodin...let her do it. its worth the enjoyment of watching your spouse go thru that much pain without having her download a tricycle motor. best of both worlds...no new kids and you can listen to her scream.

Hahahaha crule Kahar~. Most the time it is just because she goes overboard, hates what she did to her brow (like poor Kizzy~) then she goes to get it fixed anyhow.

I pluck my own. Every once in awhile, like if I fall way behind, I will get a nice azn lady at the salon to wax them, but I dont like talking to her because I dont understand her so I do it at home.

lol why use nair? To me, that's just asking for trouble.

Best stuff ever for hair removal.
The sally hanson strips Gyps mentioned are excellent - you really can't screw up - but my facial skin is so sensitive that I can not use them without either ripping skin off (...ow) or getting red dots all over the area that was waxed (broken blood vessels I'm assuming).

Sugaring solutions (like Nads, which is the best one I've used so far) only grab the hair, not the skin, so the irritation is minimal and no broken skin.
Also, on the plus side, you don't have to warm it before putting it on, and it is completely water soluble, so if you mess up, you can just wash it off with water.

No doubt, I mean you sneeze at the wrong time and you'll have more problems than uneven eyebrows.

Beard and a female name should not go in same sentence. I have been laughing at this for 10 minutes.

mmm 1st degree facial burns. Fun. ><
Maybe she heated up a product that's not supposed to be warmed - that would certainly result in burning. :dunno:

ooooow ok - that'd be a depilatory cream like nair/neet. Yeah, some of them will burn the fuck out of your skin. Also, they smell awful. Poor thing ><
