I use clamwin. I don't know if it works. I've only ever had one virus, ever.

http://www.clamwin.com

Plus, the system tray icon looks rad.

On a side note. Check this gem of a program out. http://www.ccleaner.com

Not free...but this is easily the best out of like the 15 anti-virus programs I have tried. http://nod32.softwaresecuritysolutions.com/ worth buying if you have real problems with virus's.

Tikker, did you have to uninstall 7.1 first before loading up 7.5?

I'm hearing rumors it goes belly-up after 30 days anyway. Suddenly hits you with a "your trial is up" message...

I just bought the new Grisoft anti spyware program for $59.95. It SUCKS. It tells you what viruses and spyware you have, but doesn't remove it.

Some viruses and spyware cannot be removed by commercial products. The best you can hope is they identify the ones you have so you can go thru the rigorous process of tracking down the rootkit yourself.

Having said that...the Grisoft Anti-Spyware program's strength is in preventing you from getting spyware and malware...not cleaning it up afterward.

I know, but there are tons of adware/virus/spyware removal tools out there. I had the free trial version of the one used by the government, and it was incredible. I need to find that one and just pay for it. I don't remember the name of it though. It did a scan of my hard drive and listed all the adware, viruses, and spyware that were on my HD, and gave an option of removing each one. It was that easy. Plus, it had the blocking program on it to prevent any more getting into your system.
