If you are being asked to sign a pre-nup he is betting on failure. I know I won't ask for one, if I plan on marrying someone.

With a 52% percent chance of failure I'd say it's a good bet. You're a poker player Paul you should know that.

I will, because women are fickle, lying, cheating-whores. :locked:

Garg, seriously, Virra is trying to protect himself. He's not doing anything wrong. You should know yourself better than everyone that you are emotional and that you act on your feelings whether it's rage, determination, happiness etc etc. He wants to marry you, but in the instance something happens that might be misinterpreted and you go flying off the deep end he wants to make sure he's not risking his livelyhood. If he's inheriting a large sum, there's a possibility he can't take a risk with that money because other people may be dependant on him in the future, like his brother or mom or whatever. Oh, let's not forget that money changes people. No matter how much you want to say you wouldn't do something like that, people do stuff like that when they are tempted. My mom fucked me over for money. I haven't talked to that cunt in 3 years. Take the prenup as absolute freedom from his money getting in between your guys' relationship. To be honest with you if you guys are married more than likely he'll spend a good portion of it on the both of you either way.

Also, look at it this way. Let's say you guys fight. Something happens and you separate. You guys really love each other but you're just angry at each other and there's a good possibility for reconcilliation. You think fighting over money is going to help that reconcilliation? If the terms are laid out ahead of time you won't have to worry about it at all and at least can concentrate on each other and the course of action necessary to repair your relationship as opposed to fighting over money and putting the nails in the coffin to your relationship.

the point is...i don't care about his money and if he thinks i do..then he doesn't know me and doesn't deserve to stand by my side

also, i lost it all with my ex...lost it ALL...and guess what..i never asked for any of it

i guess i am one of a fucking kind

fuck marriage...fuck the world...i am destined to be alone

just forget i ever mentioned it..i have made my decision and i told him he can eat shit and find some other sucker if he wants to get married

Its not that he thinks you care about the money, its called protection. You may not want it, but in the event something happens, greedy Lawyers are certainly more than happy to take more than their share. He isnt meaning anything by it, dont let the fact that he wants a prenup to stand in between you guys. The anology of insurance is a great one. I have car insurance, im a great driver, never been in an accident, i really dont think i NEED insurance. But in the unlikely event of something happening its nice to have.

Ok Dr. Phil /off.
Why fight it, i am a Man Whore!

5 years killed by 1 prenup. Your irrationality makes you deservant of loneliness.

I had a long drawn out post made, then I deleted it because I know you are speaking out of hurt and anger, and I know you know better than this.

You know I luv you gal.

You are over-reacting.
Now stop it, sit down, and talk with the man instead of jumping to conclusions that are likely nonexistant.
You both have children not by one another - you best believe that if anything happened to me and Jj, and I were to approach the idea of marriage again, I would certainly seek to have a pre-nup drawn out because of my kids.

Things happen and people aren't themselves when it comes to money. If you had a choice to let your kids starve or fuck Virra over to feed them what would you do? If Virra was your brother and he was marrying someone who acted heavily on emotions what would you advise him to do?
Jay

Postby Gargamellow » Thu Dec 07, 2006 8:45 pm

oh please..there will never be that situation..you can't base this shit on some completely unlikely scenario

if i can't feed my kids..they can go live with their dad...i have lived on the street before, and i would again

think realistically please
