Holy shit, fuck him...
He has no money now, but will eventually get money... and he wants a prenup (which protects in case of a failed marriage) to prevent you from getting money that he doesn't even have yet? That's like, 9 negatives there... wtf are you thinking? Fuck that shit.
But then...
The prenup I'm signing is basically the same thing. I'm marrying into a disgustingly wealthy family and Jen is 'eventually' going to be worth an insane amount of dough.
Oh, I'm engaged everyone, cong me. Sorry no thread, I started typing it up but it got really long and I got bored... lots of pictures if anyone cares... but that's a thread hijack, so anyway, back on topic...
So, I'm signing one because let's say Granddad passes away 8 years into our marriage. His will likely sets up a trust for his grandkids. Jen, and her two brothers... Her oldest brother Justin has 2 kids by then, Garrett the middle child has none but is married. Jennifer and I have 4 strapping lads. The legal arrangements SHOULD provide ME with nothing. That's family money (land, actually) that's 5 generations old. Why the fuck should I be entitled to it? Jen and her kids are, and that's who would be listed in the trust... and that's who would be protected by the original prenup. That way, I couldn't just have Jen killed as soon as she inherits the money and run off to Tahiti with my NEW 20 year old gf and newfound fortune.
