Had a ghostly encounter yesterday...

Postby kinghooter00 » Wed Dec 20, 2006 3:48 pm

So, my woke my fiancee up for work around 5am ( like i do every morning ) and then laid back down. She gave me a kiss on the forhead and said bye and then i heard the door close. I then rolled over and got situated on the bed again and as soon as my eyes looked at the closet, i saw this little black shadowy looking thing kinda make its way by the bed and then i felt the bed shake as if someone pushed it really hard. I freaked out and looked around for a second but then thought it was my little 2yr old daughter. So i reached in the dark to see if i could feel her out but no one was there. I sat there for a second and then fell asleep. My fiancee still thinks i'm full of crap, but i swear i saw it. I don't know if i was sleeping because i was awake when she left and thats when it happened.
Pretty freaky stuff... :mystery:

I thought the opposite was true? Turnining on lights only creates more shadows. Turning off all the lights eliminates all shadows... thus destroying them. Or maybe that makes them the size of the room and they can't move around to bump into your bed.

Thats why I was asking.. you said your fiance doesn't believe you so I don't see how she's spooked by the whole thing which made it sound like you were showing your 2 year old which I would've questioned your fatherhood ability~

I swear to god I can make myself go into self lucid dreams. For some reason though this only works in the afternoon. Like I wont lucid dream at night only in the afternoon like anywhere from 3-5. Sometimes it sucks and I just wake myself up. There is sometimes that you start to lucid dream and then you hear very very very loud sounds. Like you'll start to hear ppl yelling inside your fucking head it sucks but the trick is to calm down and slowly try to wake yourself up. You guys can call BS but I dont give a fuck I swear i can like 90% of the time.

Oh also iv noticed that when im sleeping face up I lucid dream a crpload more facedown I usually sleep normally...no clue why.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dreaming

The wake-initiated lucid dream "occurs when the sleeper enters REM sleep with unbroken self-awareness directly from the waking state".[20] The key to this technique is recognizing the hypnagogic stage, which is within the border of being awake and being asleep. If a person is successful in staying aware while this stage occurs, they will eventually enter the dream state while being fully aware that it is a dream. Because one does not have to recognize a cue in order to induce a lucid dream using this technique, it tends to be more reliable than other techniques. There are key times at which this technique is best used; while success at night after being awake for a long time is very difficult, it is relatively easy after being awake for 15 or so minutes and in the afternoon during a nap. Users of this technique often count, envision themselves climbing or descending stairs, chanting to themselves, exploring elaborate, passive sexual fantasies, controlling their breathing, concentrating on relaxing their body from their toes to their head, allowing images to flow through their "mind's eye" and envisioning themselves jumping into the image, or any various form of concentration to keep their mind awake, while still being calm enough to let their body sleep. During the actual transition into the dreamstate, one is likely to experience sleep paralysis, including rapid vibrations[21], a sequence of very loud sounds and a feeling of twirling into another state of body awareness, "to drift off into another dimension". Also there is frequently a sensation of falling rapidly or dropping through the bed as one enters the dreamstate or the sensation of entering a dark black room from which one can induce any dream scenario of one's choosing, simply by concentrating on it. The key to being successful is to not panic, especially during the transition which can be quite sudden.

The whole Ghost debate has been ongoing here for years.

ALot of times when you are first waking up from a dream for the next few minutes, its hard to tell what is dream and what is reality.

SO most of you don't believe in Ghost aka spirits aka demons?

Well best way to know the truth is to see one for yourself. Go to asia easiest way to find one. Or Best Indonesia or Thailand and ask around. Im sure some of the locals will show you.
