Just curious if those wishes for mindia are because of his apprehension or his choice of wording.

it's for his history of being a hypocritical "christian"

I spent a couple days in Baltimore about 2 years ago working at a location that was one of the worst areas of the city. The client I was working for felt it was not only necessary to have me leave before sundown, but also to provide escort for me for the 15 feet I had to walk between the building and the rental car.

Hmmm...Mindia's been missing since posting this....
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

To be fair, while yes it was a shitty area, I think the client was overly cautious, I didn't get concerned about anything of an insidious nature the entire time I was there.

Is there a rational and justifiable reason to be worried?

Hunters point really is scary especially after a night Giants game at Candlestick when you have to drive through it to get to the freeway.

Well if she lived some place where people are regularly mugged out in front of their own homes... no it wouldn't be irrational.

If however she is concerned that while she wasn't looking her pet cat grew into a tiger that is waiting to pounce and eat her when she walks out side... that would be irrational.

it's niether of those. it's being afraid of something or someone that I do not know is out there. I have always been afraid of burglars, rapists, and generally feel as though I am an easy target. for example:

at the hospital the other night, I wanted a cigarette (by the way I will be quitting very, very soon) and the only place you can smoke is a designated area all the way across the parking lot near the woods, right beside a sign that says "smoking area" and I had my umbrella behind my head, blocking the wind/rain and when a car drove by I immediately dropped the smoke and ran to the door. I was convinced some maniac was going to force me into his car or jump out of the woods. it's pretty irrational.

not all fears are irrational though.

I lived in a small town outside of Pittsburgh. It was a real shit hole. I went up there in FEB to see my best friend because he was making me his daughters god father. I had to go to a bar to pick up some beer and the whole time i was walking up there, i was positive i was going to get mugged.
Dark streets and multiple gangsters walking around always makes me nervous.
