Yeah that's exactly what it was. After Velious came out I joined Infusion and stayed with them for a few months. When the Luclin expansion came out I started losing interest in EQ and eventually quit EQ.

Quixen drilled us just like this guy did when we sucked and he's the best raid leader I've ever played under. He used to tell us that there's 2 kinds of raiders. People who bring "it" and people who mail "it" in. Whenever we sucked, he'd say "Will you assholes quit fucking mailing it in!?" It took me about 3 time Tallon Zek add's before I got it =P.

Wan't COA the guild that had the epic fear wipe? I remember LOS being called into help becuase corpses were piled knee high at the zone in and people losing 2 and 3 levels?

Yep, Scions of Veeshan, who had the intention to be the next big raiding guild. I almost ended up in that guild at one point, actually. The guild I was in, Jade Crescent, was going to get absorbed, but I opted out and ended up joining FOW instead. GL of SoV was pissed as hell apparently that I'd left, too.
I remember some of the cleanups on fear raids. man those could get ugly. I dont think you really get a healthy respect for TPWO's till you spawn back to your bind point naked as a jaybird and 65 noobs standing around you trying to hand you coppers because they think you are destitute.
yea SoV was made up of Jade Crescent and... I forget the other guild. I was in that Fear raid on my druid Sayenx. I tried so hard to port in, and port out people as they got their bodies back, but it just resulted in further death untill I de-lvled down to 46 by the end of the night. It was awfull, the GMs had to depop the zone because the amount of corpses was going to crash the server. Ahhh good times.
I later joined Cloud of Evolution... was a fun guild, I atleast got a RBB (dragon haste) out of them before we disbanded =p
Oh, and the GM of SoV was Mobius, an enchanter, and when he was in charge the guild was pretty aggressive. He quit or left the server, and Aerik took over. A SUPER nice guy, but he gave the guild more of a family approach.
Still talk to him all the time. Weve been friends since like, junior high. He had me a ticket in the dome for Saints-Seahawks, but the bears fucked it up. Fuckin bears!

I remember going up to help out on this. I was dragging bodies all over the place LOL. That was the best zone hehe.
