P.S. I am fucking nasty.

Go buy a Rubik's cube and memorize how to solve it. Then memorize new algorithms and try to improve your speed. I promise it will keep you occupied for a while.

It is a great thing to have at your computer. I usually solve mine a few times a day when I get sick of staring at the screen but don't want to go anywhere. It took about two weeks of playing with it occasionally to memorize the patterns/algorithms to solve it reasonably quickly. Once you learn one way to solve it, you can look up tons of other ways online. There are a lot of "speed cubers" out there that can solve a cube in less than 15 seconds. My best is probably around a minute or a minute and a half, so far. I need a lubed cube. >_<

Other ideas to relieve boredom: download eBook torrents and teach yourself something new. That's how I learned/am learning Java, VB, and other random crap. I'm using VB to sharpen my math skills actually. I just create little applications that compute random things using concepts from math books. It feels like I learn more and am being more productive in the process from doing that, versus just staring at a book.

Just cleared The Light That Blinds - Shadows Fall (MASSACHUSETTS METAL FTW) on hard!

93% but, I'll 100% it in a week or so. I play better drunk. Of which I don't understand that because, alcohol reduces Hand/Eye coordination, right?

Programming makes me want to murder small children and animals.

I "enjoy" it to a degree, but it drives me fucking nuts at times. Especially C#....

I thought I hated C++... :rofl:

I play better snooker/pool when I'm drunk than when I'm sober. So I dunno about the hand/eye coordination thingy..

VB 2006 Express Edition is now available for download. The express edition is free, but unlike previous free or student editions of Visual Studio it's limitations aren't very drastic. I've been playing with it for a few weeks, it's pretty slick. From what I've seen so far, unless you are developing something extremely complex and likely commercial you won't run into it's limitations.

the boys play guitar hero II a LOT. i can five-star all the songs on medium but once i put them on hard, i'm boned. josh and alex can beat the shit out of most songs on expert. it's scary to watch them play because they make it seem so easy and then it makes me think hard must not be that bad and then i get my ass handed to me hehe

p.s. trogdor ftw

Why not get a Library card and visit the public library? You'll have access to unlimited books, and nice girls with half a brain who you might actually get lucky with. :angel:

Whoa, lets slow down there. Let's not suggest he do anything rash, eh Lyion? Not everyone here is in their 50's and looking to pickup a 20 year old brainiac. ;)

We have a brand new library here in downtown seattle. I haven't been to it yet but my wife says it's pretty badass.

It's actually not a bad idea, but it'll never happen because Harrison is a lazy biotch. ;)

being bored is just your subconscious telling you to get up off your lazy ass and do something. that's the part I always struggle with the most.
