This was the reverse of Martyball. If they had played Martyball today, they would've killed the Pats.

They gave this game away to a much inferior team that they dominated on the lines. What a shame.

Well, that and stupid plays

Bullshit. 8 seconds left on the clock and you go for a 54 yarder? WTF? You have time for a sideline attempt to pickup another 10 yards and have an easier kick with 3 seconds or so on the clock. THAT is your typical stupid-ass call by Marty. He is a complete playoff tool.

I was talking about the entire game, numbnuts. If they had ran the ball and not gotten fancy they would've controlled the clock and probably scored more points. If you didn't notice, New England never stopped LT.

The end of the game was a wash. Leavingh Phil "I can't see the 8 guys on the field and will take a sack on 3rd and 17' Rivers throwing the ball, there's a huge chance they never get a kick

If Kaeding kicks that ball straight, he makes that kick.

Anyways, this is a game San Diego should've won, and will be kicking themselves.

Indy is cheering. They are peaking and get to play at home against Brady, someone they know quite well.

I've been hoping for a Bears / Colts SB the past few years, so it's all good to me.

It was a sad game... total comedy of errors. Very painful to watch for any Charger's fan, I'm sure.

Marcus McNeil should have been the Offensive Rookie of the Year. The guy is an absolute beast and from what I saw, the most dominant player on the Chargers after LT.

Both teams seemed to play sloppy, but they were also two of the better defenses in the league so it's really not so much sloppiness as unbelievable excellence on that side of the field for both teams - much like Ravens/Colts game was with Manning and McNair throwing multiple INT's.

I think the officiating was decent, they overturned Gates' apparent fumble at the 1 which was the correct call (although there was a previous catch by a SD WR at the beginning of the game should have been called a fumble and wasn't.) But there are going to be missed calls, that's part of the game.

It's how you rebound, and the NE D rebounded in an exemplary way. SD averaged almost 31 points a game this year - held to 21.

SD 5/18 on 3rd down.

SD averaged around 1 turnover a game all year -- they had 4. Two were just spectacular - Colvin's tipped INT falling the other way, and Brown's forced fumble to preserve the TD drive in the 4th Quarter.

chargers dropped an awful lot of passes

I didn't actually expect they'd win. Rivers needed 1 bitter loss to push him over the top

next year, as long as they don't implode, they'll be in the SB

If we're talking Post season experience, they have the definite advantage over NO and Indianapolis easily.

It's going to be rough facing the Colts away, and they got Brady's number all day long.

I think our saving grace is going to be superior coaching, and experience. I predict Manning to fold under pressure. Possibly enough to squeeze out a win even if only barely.

It will be a good game to watch nonetheless.

Sorry, after Baltimore's D on the road, the Colts will likely put 40 on the board against New England.

Brady will make his plays, but I think the Colts are hungrier. 41-28 is my score guesstimate.

I think it's pretty much a toss up between Indy and NE

both are good enough to win it
either way, it's the real superbowl

whoever makes it from the NFC is just a glorified high school team against the REAL NFL (the AFC)

I cringe at the thought of N.O.s DBs trying to cover the Indy offense. They looked bad against Phillys third rate retreads. Harrison and Wayne would eat them for lunch.

Chicago can play with the AFC. However evil Rex best not show up or it'd be a blowout.
