Just like the biggest weapon the Steelers had vs. the Seahawks last year was Stevens and the sadly biased refs right??? =D
Funny how games are seen and how opinion is swayed when it's the team they're pulling for. (This goes for any fan, not just Lyion).
As far as bias goes, while I'm on it, I wouldn't be suprised to see a Saints / Colts superbowl. The city in turmoil vs. the superhuman QB who's never won the big one!!!! What a draw omg.
Bias is the wrong word. I'd call it being consistent. The Refs pretty much can call a penalty on every play, so they seem to allow certain things to go through. On this day, they were vary lax on both sides of the ball in regards to holding.
Belichick saw this and I'd guess told Light to do whatever he could to Merriman. I saw at least 4 plays on my bigscreen where Merriman was around Light, and he had him in a WWF choke hold. If they make Light block, then Merriman is smashing Brady into bits or they get hit with holding.
Anyways, that was not the reason the Bolts lost. That might have allowed New England to win though, since Brady isn't making throws if he's getting planted. The idiot moves and turnovers by the Chargers are still what did them in.
Anyways, N.E. won. They got manhandled and took the W. Can't argue with that. Great coaching, there anyway you slice it.
I think this might open the door for Indy, if Manning doesn't pull his usual post season shitastic performance. We'll see.
