Halo was a great game that was a ton of fun, all of the haters either 1)sucked at it, or 2) never gave it a shot because of it being on a console.

1. The dual analog control scheme sucks donkey balls no matter the game.

2. Played it, totally unimpressed with gameplay.

Betas for most console games until recently have been closed. Until consoles went online, it wouldn't pay to manufacture the media and send it out every time a new version was released.

I call bullshit on the console beta testing though before the Xbox/PS2 went live.

The only "public" and licensed console betas I can think of have been on the 360.

I beta tested well over 20 PS2 games and a handful of PSX games.

Sony wants my dick. They send me free shit constantly.

My favorite beta was Modern Combat for the PS2. I HATE FPS for consoles and this was a blast.
