p.s. Don't bother posting "data" or links to support your claims. They are biased so they are worthless.
Oh I can't wait for the brainwashed drones to start posting "data" from government sites. ROFL
ok let me give you the facts in a manner that you can comprehend. After all, you do believe in dieties constructed by those in power to control simple minds.
People make this gas, its called carbon dioxide.
Plants make a gas, its called Oxygen.
People dont like plants, they like ipods and shiny rims and gold and other things that arent nessecary to their survival.
People kill plants for more room for things like ipods and shiny cars and homes for their offspring ( 9.1 Billions by 2020 )
This makes plants sad =( plants have offspring too, but people dont want plants on their roads for their suvs.
Now Plants cant make Oxygen for people, but people think that god and ipods make plenty of that anyways.
"Its getting hot...."

Idiot.
ohhhhhh rusteh.
The Facts are simple.
Man will not protest Government Actions Anymore, There is No time for that because CSI is on or American Idol
Imminent Domain will continue because everyone is watching the "War Show" in Iraq
Debt will go up, The middle Class will dissapear, because you been pre-selected for a Visa Platinum Card With 0.9% Interest.
"HEY! LOOK OVER THERE!!! huh? woah.... .snag."
Your whole way of life has just been aquired by someone else. Grats.

I know they can drill core samples in glaciers to find variations in earth temperatures, but I'm talking about record-keeping of global warming, which goes back up to 400 years only.

The record being kept is in the Ice... What dont you get?

I just mentioned that, dumbass.

There is strong evidence of this mindia. Humans are producing gasses, and other toxins into the atmosphere that did not exist on earth till recently, or did not exist in the large amounts they do now.
C02 being one of the key ones, while it did exist, it existed in a balance with plant life and foliage on Earth. With thousands upon thousands of miles of Rain forest, vegetation, and other trees being cut down daily reduces the amount of Co2 that can be tolerated in the environment. Increase in one thing, decrease in its balance will deffinatly dramatically effect the atmosphere.
When you begin the play with the atmosphere, in this case thinning of the atmosphere (the layer that keeps oxygen in so we can breathe) has a dramatic effect on many things. One being UV rays. The atmosphere protects us from the 3 types of UV rays. UV A, B, C. While the atmosphere allows UV A and B through now, the thinning of the atmosphere will allow AV C to not be filtered. The effect of this alone, can cause drastic problems to humans and animals, and plant life alone.
Most people are not concerned about UVC rays because the rays should be completely absorbed by the ozone layer, however as the earth's protective shield is increasingly compromised, via our greenhouse gases, we are now at risk of exposure to these more damaging rays. UVC rays are carcinogenic; they are sterilizing rays that can kill small organisms.
You do the math. Its not going to happen overnight, but yes we are killing the planet "AS WE KNOW IT" right now.
Why fight it, i am a Man Whore!

We are actually at the start of a warming trend but still is a long way to go to hit the high temperature though.

well holy hell...if mindia doesn't say it's so...the entire board will get together and say "yes it is!!"
I love it.
I love it.

Unfortunately there is no tangible profits to be made for testing and discovery of the validity of global warming. The problem this creates is that funding for the research must come from somewhere and it's not coming from investments by entities that stand to make a profit from the results. So where then does the funding come from? The majority of it comes from government, tax payer money through grants. This is a glaring reason for bias, as further funding and support is predicated upon results that suggest that there is a problem or further research is needed. The next question is what do politicians who support the theory of global warming have to gain? The answer is power, and that is what the majority of environmental lobbying is really about. More government regulation in various areas, more control over large corporations, more control over individuals. One need only look at some of the proposed answers to these problems to see that.

The net oxygen produced by all the rainforests in the world is neglible.
I think that the rainforests should stay due to the uncatalogued biodiversity, however they simply do not play a role in this topic.
If you want to talk about the impact of soil erosion on phytoplankton & other forms of microalgae, then we can chat.
