Jane Fonda, actress, author

Quite honestly any protest would do well to exclude this treasonous bitch.

Jane Fonda needs to STFU and go into seclusion for the rest of her life.

Because she should consider herself lucky that she was never charged with treason. During the War in Vietnam, her protesting took the form of going to Vietnam, propagandizing for the North Vietnamese government, calling US troops "war criminals" and "baby killers". While touring North Vietnam she was given the opportunity to speak with American POW's, asserted they were being treated humanly, and later when POW's were released and spoke of being tortured by the VC/NVA she called them liars.

There has in recent years been a lot of scuttle in the form of emails ect that she turned over notes passed to her by POW's to North Vietnamese officials. There have been no former POW's that substantiated this claim. In short it is most likely a falsehood, but many people believed it... it wouldn't exactly be out of character for her.

All in all most people associate her as a strong catalyst for events that occurred when our troops returned home, where as instead of being honored for serving their country they were physically attacked and spit upon. It was indeed a dark time in our history, that the negative feelings toward the war in Vietnam were not directed solely at our policy makers but also at our troops. While this is not something that she could really be charged with in our justice system, it is something that by enlarge she has been convicted of in the court of public mind.

It is quite obvious that most of you are of the younger generation...meaning you were not even born yet when the Viet Nam war was taking place...I am not defending Jane Fonda...But I have to defend her rights as an american citizen...She has the right to do or say what ever she wants like the rest of you...And I would be willing to defend her right and die myself to make sure she has the right to say and do just that...
I lived during the Viet Nam war...And was very draftable by the military...But I was one of the lucky ones that didn't get called...If I would have been I would have been proud to do so...And defend her rights just as I would have defended yours...Yes it was a dark time in our history...I protested along with several thousand others who were against the war...We didn't belong there and was handed it over lock, stock and barrel by our so called allies the French...(Sound familar...Iraq)...Yes we had the CIA involved and doing there undercover things long before our troops were ever sent...As a protestor my reasoning along with others was based on the fact that the US never declared it a war...It was a "military action" just like Korea...Had our Congress ever declared it a war, I am sure the majority of the US population would have probably stood behind our troops...This made for bad feelings on most of our parts...Some feelings were drug induced others were just idoits going along with who ever was saying what ever at that time...These were not leaders...they were followers...And the majority doing so were just that...
Jane Fonda took it upon herself to be a leader during this time...And leaders make mistakes...They can be lied to...Are persuaded to do and say things that are not humanly right...But SHE STILL HAS THAT RIGHT TO DO SO...So as an American Citizens you should be defending her right to do so...You don't have to agree...That is what make the United States great...
Treason on the other hand is a very specific crime...She did not do anything that ever fell under that very specifically outlined crime...Therefore she should not and could not ever brought to trial for her actions or words...And I thank God that our judicial system knows the difference...otherwise we would not be the country we are today...
Just think about this a moment...You that are persequting her for what took place...If her rights were violated and she was convicted in your court of opinions...You would be doing the wrong...not her...
As american Citizens you all need to remember how this country was started...what we did right and wrong in our history and look back at what was done to the American Indians...Incoming immigrates...The Jewish People in Germany...( We ignored what was taking place for several years before getting involved) and the Japanese during world war ll...Then shame on you all for having a closed mind and opinion along with those that have done the same in the past...

Yes, my uncle (my dad's younger brother) served in Vietnam. Jane Fonda still sucks.

If your ignorance wasn't showing I could remind you that I said I did not agree with what she did...But she was whitin her full rights as a citizen of the United States and backed by the constitution to do so...When this was taking place she was never charged with any crime because one was never commited according to the laws...unless you are trying to say that the US laws or constitution don't count or are not up to your low grade opinion...
Viet Nam was never a declared war...There was several reasons why it was not declared...mostly for military propaganda to keep people like you, the uninformed and ignorant to what was taking really place there...
So go crawl back into whatever bottle your into today or go induce your mind to the drugs you might be on so you don't have to face the facts or reality...
At least I keep a clear and open mind...

One of which is the Kelogg Briand treaty.

And also, Jane Fonda is pretty despicable, but I wouldn't put her actions under the treason category.
