Just put the sensor somewhere near the projector.

The screen is 15 ft or so away from the projector and all of the other AV stuff.

There's an extension cable for the sensor?

Extend the component cables so you can have the system on that side of the room.

you don't actually need the real Wii sensors

believe it or not, but a pair of candles will work....

Not really an option. I'd have to run a 25ft Component video and an audio feed across the room. No thanks. All of my other AV stuff is mounted on a shelf on the wall in the back of the room.

I'll probably just have someone bring theirs over and see if we can get it working right before I'd spend the money on it.
