Damn, when I was growing up we had saturday morning cartoons, which were like a 4 hour block of old Bugs Bunny and other warner brother cartoons, which owned. Also, we had the various Hannah Barbera cartoons, including the Superfriends! and other 70s fodder, such as the wacky racers, etc., and a few other shows like the Banana Splits, and so on. The rest of the week, we had PBS, which had Sesame Street, Zoom, Electric Company, Captain Kangaroo, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, etc.
I don't think ANY of the shows we had back then were anywhere near as saccharine and awful as some of the kiddie shows now.

I don't really mind. Jay, the reason it's in NT Fit Forum is this is the default 'parenting' forum. It's more appropriate here for the parenting types.

I think it'd be pretty cool if we had a Parenting section for NT. Can a mod make it so or do we have to ask someone specifically. And no I don't have kids but I think you all who do would enjoy it.
I *do* have a kid but you're right he's almost eleven, so I don't know of these shows.
he loved Bear in the Big Blue House, Out of the Box, Maisy, Blues Clues
I loved The Electric Company (got the DVD set for christmas hehe) and The Muppet Show, Smurfs...
some of this stuff is just strange. The controversy around the Teletubbies I always thought was a little ridiculous...the entire show was happiness. Nothing wrong with that when you're eight months old.
I hate Teletubbies. It's nothing but sugary cereal for a child's mind. There is little to no educational value to it. We watch Seasame Street On Demand when Teletubbies come on.
You have completely redeemed yourself for the pink Princess playsuit by that Darc.
