Anyone know anything about copiers?

Postby Martrae » Tue Jan 30, 2007 3:26 pm

I'm going to be needing a newish one soon. Anyone know what is currently a reliable one?

Home business type...don't need the sorter trays, stapler, etc. Countertop model. :)

I bought the Brother MFC 5840CN at Newegg about a year ago. I love it. It's a fax/copier/printer/scanner, and it even has a port to plug in 3 different types of memory sticks so you can download pics directly to the printer. The software that comes with it is great too.

Only problem with that type of copier is generally you can't put books on them....is that one different?

How much copying do you do with it? I need something that can handle multiple pages every day.

It's pretty rugged, and has a 17" flatbed, so I don't know why you wouldn't be able to copy pages from books. As far as handling multiple pages, I have printed out hundreds of pages without a hiccup.

I've got a 3-in-1 HP myself. Flatbed scanner/copier as well as being a color inkjet printer, that is capable of producing something pretty close to photo-quality output, if you're willing to use the special photo paper, anyway. I've definitely copied books with it, too. My model's kinda old, the PSC 750C, and isn't a fax machine as well, but I am sure you could find a modern HP model that's the equivalent.
