This was cracking me up, I guessed as much while watching the news yesterday after they said something about a crude cartoon character giving people the finger.
and then I saw more on it later and I just started laughing.
We had it here in Portland also...Quess what...No one cared...Guess everyone thought it was a LiteBrite on drugs...It looked more like a cartoon character out of control...
It probably occurred to people in Portland that a terrorist hiding a bomb was not likely to put neon flashing led lights all over it... that and depending on the area there is generally much wierder shit to see.

Yep, one has to wonder if they are looking at it as a marketing expense... it did if nothing else generate a lot of publicity for them.
