Eric, I hope you realize that people would pay much closer attention to what you say if you were just a TAD more polite about it. Please remember that you're celebrating her going to hell (as you and I would believe). That's pretty sick bro... That's everything against what the Christian religion is about.

She is dead, she has been creamated. Regardless of who she was when she was alive she serves no purpose now, unless the ice gets bad and they use her to salt the pathway.
I beg to differ Kahar. Mourning is not for them, it's for us. It's suffering the passing of a loved one and it's not a gesture or a show of care but a way of dealing with a great loss.
I do however agree that it doesn't have to be depressing. Some of the best moments are laughing about what the deceased had done in their lives that was funny etc etc.
I'm gonna have to go ahead and interject that being happy that a serial murderer and torturous human being died is much different than celebrating the death of someone who never harmed anyone, and only voiced their opinion
that's not even comparing apples and oranges.. at least apples and oranges are both fruit. comparing those two types of people's deaths is like comparing a lugnut and a bonzai tree.

true gyp. I am talking about normal humans. I know when my grandfather died alot of thos that knew him well talked about some of his more important acheivments, we talked about his life. We laughed. Laughter is a better healing balm for the soul then crying. Atleast that is my opinion.

I hear what you are saying, however I disagree with this statement. People's accomplishments and struggles live on long after they are dead. I can probably cite about a thousand examples.
You guys must admit, however, that there's a significant difference between a respectful remembrance of someone's life done with wit and laughter to recall the joy that person brought into everyone's lives.. and... someone gleefully dancing on their grave laughing hysterically cause that person they didn't like just died.
