They are Shiba Inu, the black one is a girl named Shiya and the Sesame one is a boy named Willis.

Shiba Inu's are kinda gamey. I much prefer pugs with some rice and soy sauce.

They don't get very big, at the dog shows they are table dogs for a point of reference. I've actually been looking into getting a Shiba, but i've heard that they aren't really good with kids so I wanted to do some more research.

I've been torn between a Shiba Inu & a Basenji, help?

I grew up with a Jack Russel Terrier, but I'm not sure if I can handle such a hyperactive dog anymore...

I looked into Basenji as well, but I figured in the long run their yodel would start to annoy me. Adam, if you look online, you can find wave files of the noises they make. Other than that, it was a toss up for me.

seriously though, can i at least play with them? josh's mom's bf's sister (durrr, sorry i know that's stupidly complicated) had shiba inu puppies when we were at her house last spring and they're just the cutest damn things ever. i really wanted one, and i think if she hadn't been asking $500 apiece for them, we would've gotten one. that, and we wouldn't have had anywhere to keep it at that point. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THEM THOUGH
