I live in south carolina, ginz. and I left Bridgewater (30 mins south of Boston) on Saturday and came to New York. my time in Bridgewater was great, but my options were limited there, as far as how to spend my time. Here, things are much more positive and open for things to do. that is, if I'd get my ass off the internet and go outside. Actually, I did go out yesterday for a bit. Today I went out for a cigarette but so far haven't really done anything.

I like being online though, it helps me in a lot of ways. I will go in a bit...always have to work up the nerve. this huge city and all the people intimidate me. I'm sure that is stupid and I will and have taken flack for it...but that's okay. I'm doing well today.

Manhattan (I haven't seen the muppets though I've been looking) and I don't plan to move here however my time away is somewhat flexible, so I will be going back to SC soon...just a matter of working out my life there from here. I was on the phone today with two offices for potential work when I get back. One step at a time.

I think you should get a job in the city and find an apt in brooklyn or something.

There is obviously a greater potential for success. Unless you have friends and family you are tied to in SC.

I walked past a dental office yesterday and thought about it. I could make a great deal of money here, I'm sure..and the fact that I don't own a car really wouldn't make a difference for me if I lived here.

Unless you have friends and family you are tied to in SC.

my son, being the single most importan reason I couldn't live here.

Can you not take him away from his father? If you're worried about raising him in the city, I wouldn't let that stop you. I know lots of people raised in the city and they all turned out to be awesome people.

great place!! I had soooo much fun, the band was incredible!! yay!! for live music. I'm kind of drunk. sshh.
