So I'm still in massive amounts of pain most of my day...
I got referred to a gastroenterologist, the problem being that it's on 3/26 and my doctor won't give me some form of recognition for my current problem. I can't and won't work with things that can kill/maim me in my current condition.
I will not have insurance if I can't get some form of "note" from my doctor saying "hey, he's too fucked up to work with dangerous equipment, end of story"
Most of my day is spent laying in bed, and my doctor's are still basically going: "No fucking clue what is killing you, wait a month for the specialist you won't be able to afford by then because we're pricks and won't tell your employer you're pretty fucked up right now"
...aggravation

I've been to the E.R. twice, they are clueless as well. Both times for the feeling that my heart was being crushed.
My blood pressure is high, I've had a fever for a month or more straight, I am in CONSTANT pain, I sometimes honestly wish I was dead from curling up in pain at night...
I've had enough blood taken from me to make a vampire pop wood. Stool samples enough to make tubgirl look tame...
They just tell me "Well, we know it isn't <insert form of cancer here> We'll need more tests, here is some vicodin."
I use the vicodin in extreme emergencies (aka when I'm curled up writhing in pain) I know all too well what happens to people when they develop a dependency on a painkiller, needed or not. I refuse to even subject myself to that possibility regardless of how strong I am in will.
I literally don't know what to do anymore. I am likely going to lose my job that I enjoy. I am going to lose insurance in the same boat. What the fuck do I do then?

Go to one attached to someplace like Boston University. As a college hospital, they're going to be into research, and thus less likely to be stuck in the same old rut as your current place. Just make sure to get a copy of your medical records when you go, so they don't go through all the same old tests again. Seriously, that's what I'd do. You live right near Boston, ground zero for how many major universities that have their own hospitals or with close associations with them? Get someone to give you a lift, and go to one of them, with your medical file in tow.
As for your job, it was through your uncle, was it not? Won't he understand? As for your health benefits, don't panic just yet. You may not be aware of it, but something called COBRA is your best friend in that regard. http://www.dol.gov/ebsa/faqs/faq_consumer_cobra.html
Basically, it's a government program that forces insurance companies to keep you on their insurance lists for up to 18 months after you're fired, it's just YOU have to pay the monthly premiums your employer used to pay. So, as long as you can pay the 100-200 a month towards your insurance, you'll be able to maintain your health coverage, even if they do fire you. So, knowing that you can maintain your coverage, regardless of what happens with the job should be SOME weight off your shoulders, I would think.
Good luck with finding out what's going on.

Perhaps its because I am afraid and he gives me courage.

Speaking of godamn fucking waste of time hospitals...my Papa has been in one all week for Pneumonia, on top of his lung cancer that he's already being treated for. Well this morning he woke up in all kinds of pain, and apparently he's in intensive care for a staff (sp?) infection all over his lungs. From what I'm being told, it was caused by negligence of the hospital staff. If thats the case and something happens to him because of their negligence, I will be sittin in a jail cell for a long time, mark my word~
Oh, no, Gaazy. That's not how you handle it. If it really is negligence, you act very polite, and go talk to your local malpractice lawyer, sue them, and make enough so that you never have to work again. Hurts them where they REALLY feel it, in their wallets, sets you up for life, and no jail cell.
Of course, if people like Lyion had their way, suing hospitals/doctors for negligence and/or malpractice would be a thing of the past, but if they really do end up causing serious harm from negligence/malpractice, might as well take advantage of the laws as they currently stand...

Well, it sure would make me feel better the other way at least~
The hospital he is at has a very bad reputation too. I guess the rest of the family thought they could handle something like Pneumonia
Then again, I may be blowin smoke and it may not have actually been negligence. Staff being the hospital's fault is just what I've heard most of the time, I'm not exactly a doctor.

Oh that's rich coming from someone who is so supportive of socialized government run health care. Here you are suggesting someone should sue for punitive damages of an amount to "set you up for life", when the logical conclusion of government funded health care is to cap punitive damage awards. If you look north to the liberal lauded Canadian health care, non-economic based awards have been capped nearly 20 years only adjusted for inflation. The cap is right around 350 thousand USD, that certainly isn't going to set up most people for life.

If I kiss you where it's sore
If I kiss you where it's sore
Will you feel better, better, better
Will you feel anything at all
Will you feel better, better, better
Will you feel anything at all
Born like sisters to this world
In a town where blood ties are only blood
If you never say your name out loud to anyone
They can never ever call you by it
If I kiss you where it's sore
If I kiss you where it's sore
Will you feel better, better, better
Will you feel anything at all
Will you feel better, better, better
Will you feel anything at all
You're getting sadder, getting sadder, getting sadder, getting sadder
And I don't understand, and I don't understand
But if I kiss you where it's sore
If I kiss you where it's sore
Will you feel better, better, better
Will you feel anything at all
Will you feel better, better, better
Will you feel anything at all
Anything at all
Will you feel anything at all
Anything at all
Will you feel anything at all

harrison, for what its worth.. my wife had a smililar situation where she kept having extreme abdominal pain and no doctor could figure out what the hell was wrong with her. countless trips to different docs, days in the er, tests, tests, etc...
well, the source of the pain ended up having nothing to do with her abdomen at all. it was pinched nerves in her back, fixed by a few trips to a freaking chiropractor!
a fucked up back can cause pain in all kinds of places other than your back. so if you think you've exhausted every other option, it's worth shot.
now having said that, i have never seen you post anything other than excuses for why you can't do things, like go to work, school, ride your tricycle across the globe...so i am going to have to agree with tossica and say stop being such a pussy and go to work.
