Yup, losing Damp and Josh to fouls right at the same time was killer =/. He was a monster on the boards and Josh is absolutely CRITICAL for us. We were ALREADY short-handed... I mean, Devin Harris started the game for a reason.
Cleveland's biggest problem is consistency. Everytime anyone says anything about them, the synopsis is riddled with 'ifs'. IF Lebron keeps it going... IF Zydrunas keeps his energy level up... IF Hughes can keep the turnovers down and find his shot... IF the bench can do 'something'... There is only one team in the East that you don't hear those things about - Detroit. They fell asleep against Miami last year but I don't see that happening this year (esp against Miami
). Cleveland, Chicago, Toronto, Washington... they can argue amongst themselves all year long about the road to the ECF, but the championship goes through Detroit. I don't think any team can take them in 7... and to be quite honest, I don't think Detroit even needs 7 games to take any of the teams in the East right now. 6, tops. No offense.
Having said all of that, Phoenix, Dallas or San Antonio shouldn't have much of a problem with them :D.

Both of you shut up. Chicago's taking it all. Cinderella story style. Go Hinrich and Nocioni, team white guy! BTW, anyone notice that white people are taking back the NBA?

When you only have 2 white guys in the top 25 elite players in the league, I'd hardly say that's "taking back" anything. Strong showing? Shrug... It's not any different than at any time in the past 20 years.

True, but also they are the top 2.

A bigger deal is how international the NBA has become over the last decade. There were always elite white players in the league, and it's always had a lot of blacks, but now things are spreading out and the NBA is becoming global.
It's very good for the league. This does mean there are more people who don't come from the 'hood playing, but I also think that's good for the league too.
There are a lot of good guys who for whatever reason never make it to the NBA. Race percentages are very schewed. I'm sure a lot of guys don't get opportunities because due to bias'.
Ironically, neither of the top white players in the NBA are American.

Neither? Hell, pretty much none of the 'top' white players are American.
Off the top of my head...
in no particular order...
Tony Parker - France
Manu Ginobili - Argentina
Pau Gasol - Spain
Peja Stojokavic - Serbia
Kirk Hinrich - USA
Andrei Kirilenko - Russia
Zydrunas Ilgauskas - Lithuania
Andris Biedrins - Latvia
Luke Ridnour - USA
Hmm...
Jason Ki... oh
Carlos Boo... oh
Jason Williams... dangit, 3 black guys in a row.
Here we go,
Grant Hill - North Carolina
I'm going to get shived for that
Hell, I almost gave us Andrew Bogut, but he's not even that good AND he's a fucking Aussie. What the fuck. Mike Miller? Brent Barry? That's all we have to show for ourselves? Is John Stockton the last American-born white-male to have played in an all-star game? Holy fuck.
The closest thing I could get to a TRUE player was David Lee, only because he has the potential to be something REALLY special... dude is 6'8 and is a 12/12 guy in his sophomore year... under Isaiah freaking Thomas. Born in the USA and he could be an all-star someday.

It is very amusing to me to see you post some crap like "He's white but doesn't act like it" after you shit up every fucking thread where race is involved with your poor opressed minorities in the evil United States.
How does he not act white? His skin is white, how can he can act any differently? Does he act like a nigger thug? The ones that don't exist and its just us racist assholes warped "perception"?

He was 'corecting' me because I was lumping him in with 2 'white' black guys.
If anything, I was being the racist because Jason Williams most certainly "acts black."

Pistons proved that they should get a little more respect against the West... they just destroyed the Suns last night, by 22... and they did it without their best player for most of the game (wow). We play them on Sunday. If they manage to beat us, the finals could be a MUCH more interesting series.

Houston is a tough fucking team... We've been staring at them for round 2 all year long and it's not cool. Garbajosa is a stud 5 but... come on, it's Yao Ming. I only caught a little of the game but it really seemed like Jorge was Yao's bitch on every interior board. Dampier/Diop have to work their asses off to get any kind of rebound and 'not' pick up fouls. I really thought that Sam would play Rasho a lot more... you need size to battle Yao, and all of Torontos big men are like, 84lbs.

Yea, Sam tried to play them on the other side of the ball IE play our shooting bigs like Bargs and Garbo and have Yao come out and guard the three, but the open shots just weren't going down for us yesterday. Combine that with a poor rebounding effort from everyone not named Chris Bosh (mostly because our bigs were outside) means we got hammered.
