I love how people talk about pregnancy and birthing like it's as trivial as a routine trip to the dentist.
Dont want to respond to that statement Harriwin ? Seeing as youve never had sex before I can see how you wouldnt understand prevention gone wrong. You say its horrible to KILL THE BABY. I say its just as horrible to tell a woman when to create a life. If abortion was to become against the law like some of you would like it would be a huge step backwards in womens rights.
I don't care. I don't care even a little bit.
Abortion is treated like a fucking safety net, whoops I had sex and got pregnant WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?! I'll just kill this tee hee.
How do you like this spoiler, motherfucker? -Lyion
Yea cuz tee hees and other playful expressions come up often when you talk about abortion. No one says its fun. Or right but sometimes it is the responsible thing to do for everyone involved. How many children have you adopted harriwin ? Ever been involved in an oops pregnancy ? Im done with this thread cuz I dont feel like getting pissed tonight.
WHITE TRASH METAL SLUMMER Why Immortal technique? Perhaps its because I am afraid and he gives me courage.
I feel fortunate that I miscarried when I did. I seriously wonder if I had not would I have carried the child full term, or aborted. Less than two weeks after I lost the baby I found out that my boyfriend was snorting coke in my house while he was watching my son, and all the car payments I had been giving him money for were not being made. He started "loosing" paychecks, etc. This is someone I had known since I was in middle school, and our families were friends. I don't think I could have raised another child on my own, and still wonder what I would have done. I guess until you are in the situation, you have no right to judge people. Its noone's place what to tell a woman she should or shouldn't do
It is possible to get prenant when you are on birth control, Harrison, don't be so naive.

You didn't mention adoption as a consideration and perhaps you don't see that as having been viable option (either then or in retrospect) for many possible reasons. The reason I mention it however is that would seem the most obvious solution assuming you didn't like the abortion option, and your concern seems to be centered around how you could accomplish raising another child vs carrying the child and family/boyfriend complications.

I don't think I could have considered adoption. Both of my prenancies were hard on me anyway. I almost died having my last son. Why would I go through all that for child I did not want? Then there would always be the wondering for the rest of my life.

Not to rub salt in a wound, but I would suspect that with abortion, miscarriage, or adoption there would always be that factor to a certain extent.
Danger to you life with a pregnancy is a completely different matter then a "convenience" type issue.

Well so is leaving your house or driving your car, danger is relative.

No there aren't laws saying you have to do a lot of things, but still we tend to do them with what becomes viewed as acceptable risk.

So you are saying that there is a 22% chance of becoming pregnant even while practicing abstinence? I wonder how many other "miraculous conceptions" there are!?!?!
Again those values are based on real world data, success rates are much higher when strict adherence to recommended usage. In other words they take into account forgetting to take a pill or not using physical barriers correctly ect.

Key word highlighted~ Although I laughed when I saw that one myself.

He, at least, is being responsible and practicing what he preaches. You all make fun of him for being a virgin, but guess what, if more people were virgins this wouldn't be as big a deal.
Honestly, if you can't wrap your head around the fact that every time you let a dick near you, you might end up with a baby, then you don't need to be having sex. Period.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.
Maybe if we could get the religious right to STFU so that we could actually have real sex education in high schools, people wouldn't be using the stuff wrong, and those failure rates would drop dramatically. High schoolers are GOING to be fucking, period. Teaching strictly abstinance is about as useless and pointless as you can get.

Are your ceilings laden with asbestos or some other toxin? You might want to consider getting out...
And... how typical to blame the schools being held back by that evil religion for people getting pregnant. It has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with parenting. Here's a tip, most religious people are better parents and their kids are less likely to get pregnant, because they have better morals and discipline.
Heaven help we demand responsible parenting, or allow real choice in school so Health isn't taught by some mentally incompetent, english challenged 70 year old cross eyed Asian immigrant, like my health class was, who is incapable of being fired thanks to our socialist idiot school system that costs ludicrous sums and is vastly inferior to other countries.

I am pro choice for everyone but myself. I am pro-life when it comes to me.
Having said that, I dont know if I would carry another baby to term. Simply out of selfishness and inconvienence (omg sp?). With every pregnancy, my body takes a harder hit. Just dont want to see what it does with a third.
My friend Robin and her then-fiance got pregnant while she was on BC and he had it wrapped up. Houdini babies DO exist. What about married couple who fall into hard times and cannot afford children? Instead of leeching onto the system, they abort. Should married couples not have sex?
As for withdrawl methods, the people at Planned Parenthood give you evil looks when you say thats your form of contreception haha.
Dont know why I posted in this thread. I try really hard to stay away from abortion and gay threads here. They tend to make me angry at the internets.
Most people are for more effective birth control solutions, and for simple ways out.
Many women won't consider adoption, or have medical issues carrying children that preclude them from doing so. Like it or not, abortion is the law and even those who oppose it and feel it's wrong should be compassionate and also pragmatic
The morning after pill is available. There are early intervention methods to prevent pregnancy. You can determine pregnancy at a very, very early time and take action then.
I think the problem so many people have are the amazing amount of abortions that are done second and even third term. We've had children survive out of the womb at 22 weeks, and it's been proven that unborn babies feel pain and are cognizant at a very early timeframe.
