I think sport hunting is legit if you do it the badasses way. Just you and a knife. That way at least the animal has a fighting chance of pwning you.

Also Kizzy, it's cognitive thought and thumbs.

Even with a Gun plenty can go wrong. I think in a lot of cases Gun is more humane too. I dont think hunting some animals with a knife is a good idea at all. bears and LIons come to mind.

These niggaz all got guns and look how exciting it gets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNTVmUnfd3g

Too bad africa is so far away. Theres a lotta cool lookin critters there to take shots at. I dont think id kill a giraffe , phant or rhino though .

I love hunting too. I grew up in Pittsburgh and loved going up to the mountains in the winter.
I'm just saying that it was great to see a couple of rich assholes get owned by a lion. That lion turned the tables and started hunting the hunters. Now that fucking awesome. I would love to hunt and kill one though. That would be pretty amazing and a hell of a rush.

they're not a thick skinned animal, a well placed shot of any mid to large sized rifle round will drop a lion in one shot. you just can't suck like the douche bags in the video.

:dunno: a heavy .300 win mag would be sufficient for a lion and most bear. deer can be killed by just about any caliber, it's just alot of hunters go with the "one gun" for all their hunting needs. so they choose a higher, more powerful round. like the 30-06, or .308 which is huge overkill for a deer.

Allways thought 308 was the perfect deer round the way people talk bout it. I allways think you need a big gun to kill shit. Like whatever your pops shot that pig with is what you hunt bears and lions with.

Blowing a lion to buggery from 500 yards with a high powered rifle from a raised hide isn't "manly". You want to kill a lion to prove you're a man, do it like the Masaai used to do it: With a cow-hide and wood shield, and a 3 foot long spear.

Of course, this neglects the rather major issue that Lions are an endangered species, and retarded assholes like hunters wanting to prove their "manlyness" shooting them is in large part HOW they got to be endangered in the first place. As I said before, I don't have a problem with hunting non-endangered herbivores for food. Go right ahead. You like venison, and want it fresh, by all means, go shoot bambi. Trophy hunting however, especially of endangered species, is an abomination and anyone who does it should have the William Wallace treatment done to them: drawn and quartered while still alive. That or you get have your hands and feet manacled, and then get to play the quarry in a remake of "The Most Dangerous Game", and see how you like it if someone gets their jollies blowing you away with a high powered rifle from 500 yards.

You know I want a lions head not to get killed. I like to shoot guns not get killed. This hunt it in a way so that you can die coming from a liberal pussy doesnt mean a whole lot. I beleive they have game reserves that raise lions for hunting as well so you dont fuck the nat population up. Huntings not your thing thats fine but to say hey risk your life or its not ok is a bit silly.

His points are pretty valid, though. If you want it to be sport, there should be something competitive about it. A lion facing you with a high powered rifle is about as fair as you being in a spelling bee, Spazz.

Also, you missed his main problem, those who hunt endangered species for no valid reason. Most people are fine with hunting deer when they are overpopulated in an area. It's a tad different when you kill something that is rare.

I think if its on a reserve its diffrent . They maintain reserves for the purpose of hunting. If it was poached from the wild I can see being upset. On a reserve I think he has no arguement. If Ted nuget raised lions on his property for the purpose of hunting them does that make him a bad guy? I think not :dunno:

I think plenty can go wrong hunting african big game with a machine gun (forget the rifle) and its plenty sporting enough. Since when does it need to be fair anyway. Hunting is not about fair. Its about diffrent things to diffrent people but fair is usually not on the list. If its not in a cage id say thats fare enough. If you can afford to hunt big game in africa than more power to you. Hunters do more for concervation that anyone else. You think just cuz its africa they dont want to hunt lions in the future.

If you really want to hate on someone its not the hunter you should hate its habitat destruction. Something living in cali im sure arlos isnt part of.

I didnt miss his problem I think hes full of shit.

killing animals for the sole purpose of entertainment puts you in the same company as serial killers, before they move on to bigger and better game.

congrats on aiming to be a hero.

When I was younger, like 13, 14, 15, I was like that, just wanted to kill shit for the hell of it. Anymore, like I said, I just like being outdoors.

I've passed up countless shots in the past years at deer or whatever just because I didnt want to ruin the scene. This past season actually I had an easy shot with my rifle at a big black bear and didnt take it. He was wallowin around in the bush eatting berries and just playing in the sun, just couldnt do it. I sat there for damn near an hour watchin him play. Same with last turkey season. I passed up at least 2 or 3 easy kills and just watched.

Now this 12 point buck I saw last bow season, holy fuck what I would have done for him to come a little closer...
