Mop, having been through something very simliar to you (although I was married to the bitch), taking the high ground IMHO is better.
I can say that even though I was very hurt, I can look back on it now and know I did the right thing and have no regrets. If I were to have gone the route of revenge, I'm not certain I could look back and say that.

I concur Clark, thank you for your post. I am honestly over her enough the cheating thing just confirms what I had thought - and all of you thought all along even though I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. I mean really I don't feel hurt, just betrayed. But either way im out of this entire situation in 2 weeks - so really I don't care anymore.

We don't know her side of the story, and while I thinking cheating is the worst possible thing you can do to a person, I think Mop is more mature and is just venting.

Honestly, there's no need to descend to such levels. She's going to be plenty fucked over just by life itself. 1) She has no place to live. 2) Her family, which I assume liked Mop, is going to hear direct that she fucked around on him. 3) I am sure their mutual friends will know she's a whore as well.
So yeah, nowhere to live, family AND friends pissed at her, and who knows how many stop associating with her, and Mop gets to gloat from a position of unassailable superiority, as he never descended to her level, no matter the provocation, which makes what she did look all the worse. I'd say she's going to be feeling it long and short term.
Honestly, I'm glad I never descended to that level either on the bitch I was involved with that screwed me over the worst. No, you don't get details, beyond the fact that she screwed me over, made me feel like everything was my fault, and I got to spend a big chunk of my 21st birthday on a greyhound from Amherst to Boston feeling like *I* was the one who screwed HER over, and thus I was a complete shitheel. (I met her in my first college, she moved back home to MA over the summer, I went out to see her for my birthday). Anyway, the last I heard of her, she was involved with a psycho asshole, who would threaten suicide if she even mentioned leaving him, she was pregnant with his kid, and they were living together in a trailer park and both were completely broke. Life got her back better than I ever could have done, and I still got to feel good about myself.

I know what you mean Arlos, but I may just be more of a vengeful person.
My ex-girlfriend is with an OC addict now(interchangeable with heroin addict such as herself) who stole, lied, cheated, and beat her before. Her parents and family have pretty much disowned her. I still hear from them occasionally because of how close to the family I was in the past 10+ years. (I still have keys to her older sister's place to use if I need)
Life is fucking her in the ass with no lube harder than anything I could have done to her in return. All of her friends won't talk to her for what she did to me.
I still wish I had done SOMETHING back to her, for my own sake.

Ive never ever had the urge to fuck someone over. Then again I was never cheated on or anything like that, I was always first to leave, but still. In situations where I could have, it never crossed my mind to do anything bad.
For those that believe in karma, if someone does something to you unprovoked, and you react in the negative, well you arent free and clear. Its going to come back at you.
Good for you Mop, for taking the higher road. She's a skank, she'll get hers.

What? A cushy job that you love with your uncle isn't payment enough? Or did you lose it?
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

It's a feel-good philosophy that is a load of shit. I think deep down that most people who "believe" in it, agree with me. They just wish it was real.
If karma is real, I am waiting for my paycheck.
No offense Harri, but you are hardly old enough to truly understand what karma can really begin to unleash. "Years ago" you were but a teenager. Additionally, you will be waiting a long time if you are keeping watch. Let it go. Karma works on its own schedule - not yours.
You have only begun your adult life. You wish you had done something to her now because you're still angry about it. 10 years from now, you will be utterly thankful you never did anything to her, and allowed her to do it all to herself.
If it means anything, my "paycheck" was not realized in full until just a few years ago, because what I thought was my payback 12 years ago was only the calm before the maelstrom, and what they are reaping now is far, far worse than anything I could ever have done to him or her, and I can walk away with a clear conscience and live my life happily, rather than be burdened with the knowledge that I am guilty of their downfall.

ROFL you're the last one who should be flaming about jobs.
ROFL...you're the last person who should be flaming about relationships but it hasn't stopped you.
Besides, I probably worked more years than you have already, plus am raising 3 terrific kids. What have you done again? Oh yeah, your rogue can beat my rogue.

you'll get it, I promise. but probably not in the way you are expecting, like in the form of a paycheck.
in fact, if you *really* do think someone OWES you something, your karma will reflect that.
stop being so cynical and you might see the light of day.

OK, the cats I can feel sorry for. They're losing their home and the people they're attached to, and they certainly didn't do anything wrong. And now they are likely off to the pound, to be put to sleep if no one adopts them? Ugh.
In complete agreement though on not buying out the lease with her, especially considering you've been paying the entire rent for the last while.
