So, Vonk, is it officially time to begin panicking a bit now?

Miami is done. I don't really understand how all these experts think they are so good. Shaq is about 6 steps too slow and Wade is really hurt. Aside from those two it's NBDL time.

Yes, but you're talking about an average PF. He really isn't that much better than Kirk Thomas or Austin Croshere, guys who are on the bench for other teams. He's a pretty good defender and a great compliment to a healthy Shaq, but Shaq isn't healthy.

What I don't understand about Shaq is that it seems like he's not willing to put in the off-season effort it would take to get back into "Old-Shaq" type shape. Wouldn't he be vastly more effective, and get a chance to return to at least a significant part of his former dominance if he was even half as fanatic at working out as, say, Jerry Rice was? Now, I know Rice was a mutant even compared to other professional athletes as far as that goes, and his workout destroyed even other top-flight WRs in his day, but that IS how he kept being able to play at a high level anywhere near as long as he did. Given the amount of money Shaq still has coming to him, doesn't it behoove him to at least try?

He likes food.

Every year they say he's a new shaq, slimmer than ever, and he's always fatter than he was the year before.

I'm sure Rice liked food plenty too, he just busted his ass to not let his food slow him down.

Not panic, just bewildered. Mavs still look like little kids out there instead of the powerhouse they've been all year. I'm not going to panic at 2-1. 3-1? Fuck yes I will.

Also... that crowd was the loudest crowd I've ever heard in any NBA game. Seriously... #1 of all time. Tha shit was bananas.

Well hey, you have your team go 13 years without going to the playoffs, and see how loud YOUR first home playoff game is... rofl. Supposedly it was the biggest crowd to ever see a basketball game in California. I don't know anyone who was at the game, but a friend of mine is a big warriors fan. If they go up 3-1, he's going to be doing backflips practically. And as I said before, if the Warriors WIN the series? People in Hawaii will be able to hear the partying in Oakland.

And Zan, I guess that's what I was looking for. He's already HOF material, of course, but now there's always going to be mutterings down the line along the lines of "How gould could he have been for how long if he'd been willing to pay the price?"

All we have to do is beat the Pistons and it's smooth sailing to the Finals. Get your goats ready Tacks.

Even if the Warriors get past Dallas, I REALLY REALLY doubt they're going to get past Phoenix. The games'll all be like 160-155, but I think Phoenix is just better than GSW right now, especially with Amare in there.

Wait, does the NBA do the highest seed left plays the lowest seed left kind of deal? So if the Mavericks do lose, the Suns play GS or they still play SanAnton? If you understand that mess, you are a prince.

Suns would play the San Antonio/Denver winner if they beat the Lakers. Mavericks/Warriors winner would play the Rockets/Jazz winner.

Great game tonight. The Dallas inside defense was extremely porous. The Warriors got a ton of points on layups.

I shudder to imagine the doom & gloom of the Dallas sports writers tomorrow over the Mavs... heh.

So Vonk, NOW are you officially panicking?

I didn't watch the game. I was so upset about the Raptors game I went to bed early.
