I want to transfer some stuff from my laptop to my PC. The files are several gigs large. What are some software or other options I have to do so? Thanks.

I wish I knew a better way to do this too.. I have two PC's networked via a crossover cable, and I've used AIM to transfer entire directories over. It goes pretty quick, I think like 5 MB/S or so, but if I try to send a single large file, AIM can fuck up with memory or something in the middle of it.

Just realized how stupid of a question this was. Solved with an old router.
