simmons called it:

Three more predictions: Jersey handily thumping Toronto Friday night, Mayweather taking a decision from De La Hoya, and Utah shocking Houston in Game 7. By the way, are we really prepared to live in a basketball world where Nowitzki is the reigning MVP and Sam Mitchell (badly exposed in the Nets series) is the "Coach of the Year"

Cleveland takes game 1. I predict this one will probably go 7.

I think we have completely redefined "handily thumping" haven't we.

The All-NBA first team are all from the West.

Nash
Kobe
Dirk
Duncan
Amare

My boy Bosh on the second team.

Wade on the third? Boozer not on any? That's a little odd.

The Bulls blew a nineteen points lead last night and lost. So now they are down 3-0.

Chicago up by 20. This is the beggining of our "sweep" of the Pistons. Bulls were just sandbagging the last 3 games.

Suns, Spurs. The game tonight was killer. I would be on ahigh when Raja, Barb would hit a three then Finley, Barry would come right back and dominate the momentum. Somehow, somehow the Suns won, much to my delight. Home court back in the Suns hands. Wow, an enjoyable game.

I'm really rooting for the Suns, just because I like Nash, D'Antoni, etc more than I do San Antonio. Change is good.

Plus, Bowen is still a punk.

More importantly, the Cavs won and are up 3-1. I'm hoping they can continue to raise their game. They'll need to against Detroit.

They could raise their game from here to Neptune and they'd still get owned by Detroit.

I am also rooting for the suns, if only because it would be awesome for a team like that to win the championship.

An interesting aside, a study found bias in NBA officiating.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2870260

An independent analysis of the two conflicting studies requested by ESPN.com confirms Wolfers' findings that referees favor their own race when they blow their whistles.

Bulls up 52 - 39. No goats for you yet Tacks. Oh btw, Stoudamire suspended for the next game after that little tiff between Nash and Horry. Horry suspended 2 games.

That hurts Phoenix a lot more than San Antonio..

He left the bench and went on the floor. His account was he was checking in.

It's really a bad decision by the NBA, but what's new. It's not like the NBA is about fairness....
