Micheal Moore challenged Fred Thompson to a debate...

Fred replied nicely...

I'd say Moore skewered Thompson quite thoroughly. Hypocrisy, ties to fraud and the current health establishment, etc. Thompson doesn't have the cojones to debate?

lol. That video by Thompson is hilarious. I can't recall someone getting owned as hard as Moore was politically anytime recently.

*shrug* they both made points on each other. Hypocritical of Thompson to object to Moore going to Cuba when Thompson illegally imports cuban cigars. Further hypocrisy to bitch about Moore tackling health care given Thompson's ties to the health care industry. (ie, forget any changes if he actually gets elected). Good point from Thompson about Castro being not-nice. Suggesting Moore should get institutionalized? Meh.

I repeat, if Thompson actually had Cojones, he'd debate. I honestly think real politicians, if they have actual convictions and not just talking points, should always be willing to debate on issues. Any candidate who refuses, unless the arbiter/forum is biased (the battleground should be fair at least), will likely never get my vote, regardless of any other issue.

You claim to stand for ideals? Back it up with words and argument. You can't? You're a empty windbag in a $2000 dollar suit, and I have no use for you.

To play the Devil's Advocate here.

Not everybody has the time to pander to every outrageous request from a nutjob.

There is something to be said about getting your hands dirty, but playing in the muck with swine is not quite the same thing.

Moore isn't your garden variety nutjob, however. He's an oscar-winning filmmaker, regardless of how your opinion was modified by Farenheit 9/11, and enjoys significant popularity nationwide. So, it's not like Joe Schmoe Average challenged him to a debate, after all.

Best Feature Documentary of 2002.

The competition was:

The migratory pattern of birds.
Spelling bee kids.
Vietnamese woman & her Americanized daughter reunited.
&
Another movie about the Holocaust.

I never watched Farenheit 9/11, nor will I after watching Bowling for Columbine.

The movie was entertaining, but was nothing more than a political tool exploiting a violent crime that was still fresh in the minds of many.

He is nothing more than the polarized version of Anne Coulter to be quite honest.
